my name is chris. ive been playing pokemon games ever since they came out. i just recently wanted to start competitive battling and was on pokemon showdown when i battled a user on here named badpokemon. he sent me this way for some pointers on battling and was very friendly and helpful. so any help you want to send my way about battling will be much appreciated

Our Pokemon Showdown server would be awesome for practice so you've that to consider as well as the guides and resources available in the Battling & Team Building forum that Dragon linked you to. It's the best place here to get your teams rated as well as receive pointers to better improve it so be sure to get involved often. You'll definitely have a good time.
