    Hello everyone! I am Sound. I am, of course, new to these forums, but definitely not to Pokemon! I've been playing it since, what, 2000? Yeah, yeah, about eight years. Good times, good times.
    The thing that drew me here were the hacks, like Pokemon Shiny Gold, but the installing bit still befuddles me. I'll get it eventually. =P
    Anyhow, my other interests are art, like painting or photography, writing, reading, and music. I'm trying to take up guitar, once I actually get one.

    Anyhow, it is a pleasure to meet all of you!

    Yes, learning how to begin hacking is probably one of the hardest parts of the process. Don't despair, however, there are quite a few people that would be willing to help you over in the Simple Questions Thread conviently located in the ROM Hacking section.
    (Just make sure you do a quick search to make sure the question hasn't already been asked, okay?)

    Photography, painting, and writing?
    Well, perhaps you should also check out the Art Gallery and Other Writing sections respectively. I'm sure we would all love to see some of your work, my dear!

    Eight years is quite a long time to be a Pokemon fan. I'm sure you will find that the vast majority of us here at the Pokecommunity are veterans of the franchise. In some ways we're like a bunch of old koots that sit together on the porch and talk about "the good ol' days". xD

    I'm sure you're going to like our "porch" and subsequent other sections as well!

    Ah, all there is to do about hacking has always given me a headache. I was never very computer saavy, you see. But, perhaps, far in the horizon, I'll actually be able to create a hack that is at least bareable to play.

    I love to talk about the good ole' days! I will certainly give the porch a visit soon, Hiidoran.

    Well, I must admit, that was a very nice introduction! I do hope you find The PokeCommunity to be a cool place to spend a bit of your free time. As you can see, we have a lot of stuff to do and some pretty cool people to meet ^_^

    I think we have you covered in terms of all of your interests...The oh-so-helpful Hiidoran has kindly guided you to some sections that may be of some interest to you. =P

    Ahh, a future guitar player? I've been playing for about three and a half years now...Wonderful instrument in my opinion!

    Welcome to the community. I would say Shiny Gold is good hack, if not the best here. I hope you enjoy visiting the forum.

    So far, I'm truly enjoying my stay; everyone seems pretty nice and helpful. It's a nice change from a lot of other forums. I'm definitely glad I found this place. ^^
