    Hey everyone,

I tend to go on a bit in my introductory threads, so I'll say sorry in advance. I just think it's better to let people know about yourself from the start, so here goes.

My name is Mark, I'm 21 and I live in Huddersfield (England). In my spare time I enjoy playing on the various computers that I have, and I am also a bit sports fan and enjoy watching all kinds of sports.

Without wanting to be off topic too much as I know this is a Pokemon forum so I'll go onto how I got into Pokemon.

I originally started playing Pokemon back when Pokemon Yellow came out, I had hours of fun on that but I never got around to completing it or the pokedex. I own quite a few Pokemon games now and one day I aim to have everyone. One of my favourite Pokemon games though has to be Trading Card Game, I enjoyed that greatly.

The last Pokemon game I bought was Pokemon Platinum. I haven't actually gotten too far into it so I am going to start a new game tonight and keep a track of my progress in the strategy guide by marking off the items I get etc. I will hopefully get Black soon but it will have to wait until after I get paid.

I'm hoping I can meet some fellow Pokemon fans who I can battle with and trade some Pokemon hopefully. I've yet to use any of the Wi-fi features as I don't have any friends who also play Pokemon.

Being 21 I still enjoy Pokemon, but my friends think I'm strange for still liking it as 21. I don't care though and I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Thanks and sorry for going on. If you would like to know anymore then feel free to ask.

EDIT: Sorry I put Pokemon Diamon as the last game I bought, when in fact it was Platinum. Sorry about that.

    Don't apologize Mark; its good to let people know about yourself in an introduction. <3 Well, introductions do involve telling people about yourself, but...yeah. XD;

Anyhow! Welcome to PC; like you, my first pokemon game was pokemon yellow, and I've enjoyed it soooo much; the thing was that I was lousy on raising pokemon other than Pikachu. XD; like when it came to the ground gym, I lost every time until I raised my squirtle into a blastoise. :/ And...I haven't gotten around completing the pokedex eaither; I haven't gotten the pokemon that evolved from trading, and the pokemon you couldn't get in the game, like Electabuzz, since I didn't own red. :/ I enjoyed the pokemon TCG video game too. :3 It was a pretty challenging game the first time I played it IMO~ This forum actually has a neat Metal and Color Generation board; where you can talk about Pokemon Yellow, and all the pokemon generation games that came out for gameboy. :3

About diamond: It was okay, but, I never really gotten "into" it; platinum was pretty cool; but it had more of a robust story-line than diamond, IMO. And Black and White is awesome; I have them myself. <3 And hey -- its not strange; age is only a number after all; you can still like something, no matter how old you are. In fact, there's even some users here who are the same age as you, who enjoy pokemon as well. <3 Juuuust in case you wanna chat about Diamond, Pearl, and platinum, as the title suggests, you can check out the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum board.

In any case, this being a pokemon board, you'll meet many more pokemon fans such as you and I. <3 There's also other boards other than pokemon, soooo maybe check those out too if you'd like. ^^ Anyways, its nice to meet you, and I hope you'll enjoy yourself during your stay. <3

I'd love to get to know you more if we can meet up again someday. <3

Welcome. You must really like formal introductions! I hope you take your time to look at the forums skins and the staff here. ^^

I used to prefer Charmander myself, but I always felt Pikachu was much easer to raise than any of the other Pokemon. I miss some of the old Pokemon like Jigglypuff, that was always a fun one to raise. I agree in regards to the TCG, I actually thought it was hard to master at first but the more I played it the more I understood it. I still dig out my old GBC to play on the old Pokemon games.

I'm looking at getting a starter pack for the TCG too actually, I'm trying to get my GF to play with me :P.

I actually messed up on my originial post, I have Diamond but the latest game I actually own is Platinum. I haven't really gotten too far into Platinum yet even though I've had it ages. As I haven't got a GYM badge yet and I'm not far into the game, I'm going to start a new game until I can get a hold off Black or White.

I think it's clever how they always bring out two versions, a good way to make money but at the same time I don't really like it. As I wish one game had all the Pokemon rather than having to have two or trade etc as I don't have anyone who also plays Pokemon.

Thank's for the warm welcome and it's good to know that I might not be the oldest member (I was a bit worried about that at first).

Hopefully we will talk again, it does look like a good forum thats for sure.

You actually live somewhere where I'd love to visit. I've always wanted to get to Toronto to see my beloved Blue Jays play.
