Nintendo has annonced the realease of a new pikachu game similar to hey you pikachu to be coming to the upcoming system, the nintendo DS. And the graphics are better then the n64, althogh it is portable. Other new games for the ds include: animal crossing, metroid prime 2:hunters,mario kart, new mario bros, super mario 64x4,wario ware and more.

Sounds cool, Hope it is better than Hey you Pikachu.. It wasn't even brought out in Europe.. So it couldn't be that good.. Was it?

Nintendo did NOT ANNOUNCE THIS AT ALL. IT WAS A DEMO TO SHOWCASE THE POWER OF THE DS NOT A REAL GAME.

oh? whered you read that? Ign.com said it was a real game. :P

Either way, DS is going to go down faster than the Virtual Boy (which I own and really like, actually...) Although voice recognition technology is cool, it, along with the second screen and touch-screen feature is going to make this this thing too complicated to use at times...it's very ambitious but too much so if you ask me. A DS Hey You Pikachu!, IF it was ever to be real, would be a glorified tamagotchi. I like the idea of a handheld N64, but it has too many frills...I think this project is doomed before it even starts (but I might buy one anyway...it'll be cheaper than the PSP at least...)

it sounds promising to me. i've seen concept art of it and teh DS deson't seem that hard to understand at all. Just a couple more buttons, and that's it. If it really does have voice recognition and touch screen, then you can bet they have it set to where it would work. NIntendo has been in the business a long itme, and at this point I think they'd be smart enough to not put out something that might not work. heck, they've been known to decide something was too risky and it turned out to be pretty good (i.e., playstation was originally a joint venture between sony and Nintendo to compete against Dreamcast, but then they saw it as a bad investment and gave it to sony.)

There's more than concept art now, you can see the real thing here: https://www.nintendo.com/e3_2004/ds/ds_overview.jsp

I'm just worried because Nintendo is becoming overly ambitious...instead of focusing on quality, they're spreading into areas that nintendo really shouldn't spread into. Of course nintendo knows quality, but they also thought that they knew what they were doing with the virtual boy...1 month, 12 games, and it was over. I'm not worried that the product won't work, I'm just worried that it will have too many useless functions. It has too many unnecesary features that are going to doom it. If they're worried about the PSP, they need to simply reinforce the quality of the GBA...lower the price on the SP, make more innovative games, etc. GBA quality alone could overshadow the PSP, especially if the PSP debuts at a high price, but the DS is going to be a disaster.

i couldnt get the download to work :'(

The only thing that looks complicating to me is the two screen thing. You're in the middle of a racing game and you glance down or up to check the second screen and you end up crashing into something. I don't really care for Hey Pikachu. I hate Pikachu. If there was a real life version of it that wouldn't kill me with it's bolts I would be kicking that thing around like a ball.

i checked an interview with the creaters of fr/lg and they say they have "a lot planned for the ds".

    1) This game doesn't exist.
    2) This thread is from 2004. o_O
    3) Even if the game did exist, and the thread wasn't from 2004, you still can't ask for things like ROMs for download here.

    Closing this now.
