Hey You, Pikachu(N64)

This was a great game that I spent hours playing. Dunno how it got a bad rep, it was one of the most entertaining games on the N64.

The main problem was how unresponsive Pikachu was, especially if you didn't have a really high-pitched voice. Having to repeat commands 5-6 times in a row just to get something done is pretty annoying.

I loved the game as a kid, but I haven't played it in years. I still have the game itself as a part of my N64 collection, but lost the VRU microphone thing to talk to Pikachu it came with a long time ago. I thought about seeing if any used copies online came with it, but I'm not in a position to buy that right now.

I loved that game. I would play it non-stop... I still have it, but I lost the mike... So its a useless cartridge.

Oh, and for the people that are curious about an emulator version... don't bother, there's no mike emulator and its impossible to get past the start screen without a mike plugged in. I've tried... Quite sad, since my real mike is missing...

First of all Hey You Pikachu was an awesome game. But it should have had mroe features. And second of all. I so agree with this.

Haha, I remember Hey You Pikachu. :P
I felt kind of silly talking to it through that microphone.
And sometimes it wouldn't listen to me, and that made me very mad.
But I remember fun things like going fishing and whatnot. And it would measure the Pokemon that you fished up. :D

Actually, that game really made me wish they could make a whole RPG game like that with the microphone and everything. So you could command your Pokemon with your voice and whatnot.. I think it would be a really interesting way to play Pokemon. I think it'd be way more realistic. :3
I wonder why the never explored further with that type of feature.. : /

Imagine how cool it would be on the Wii. You could, like, motion the Wiimote to throw a Poke Ball and all kinds of stuff. <3

But have battling, and side things like in hey you pikachu, like fishing and treasure hunts and all kinds of things. Maybe have an option to play AS your pokemon while training.
Use assigned buttons for attacks. Be so much fun.

Omg, When I was very young , 4-6 Maybe, I used to have this.
It was my FAVORITE game for N64. It was so fun :D I loved playing with pikachu with the microphone. I still have the game, but I lost the mic. Owell. very fun game though! :D

Used to have it; I got extremely frustrated because Pikachu would hardly ever listen to me. xD But it was fun.
