Olla to everyone, you can call me Cascade. It'll be a pleasure to meet even one of you.

I'm here on a mission~! See one night I just had a bolt of inspiration. "My arceus... I need to make a Rom Hack!"

Now I know it'll be challenging, and that my ideas right now are probably too ambitious, and that I'll probably never make it past the planning stages, and that I'm really lazy, and unmotivated, and a procrastinator, and...

...Where was I going with this again? Oh yeah. I joined up here because even if I had the tiniest bit of help from reading the tutorial thread or anywhere else, my plans won't be too for naught.

So bla bla bla, Let's rumba!

You sound like an awesome person right from the start, Cascade! I like that upbeat attitude you've got there haha. It's a pleasure to welcome you to PC, home of everything PC and beyond~ Meeting new people like you is surely one of the many things that get everyone excited!

ROM hacking, hm? Emulation & ROM Hacking is where you'll need to go! I wish you all the best on beginning your first hack! Also, don't forget to try out some amazing hacks made by some of our very own members. I haven't had the chance to play them, but I've heard that they're really good! Hopefully this would help to kickstart your ROM hacking career. xD Looking forward to what you have to show us!

If there's ever anything you need, or if you want to make a new friend, feel free to approach me or any of the staff in bold usernames as well any of the regulars around. I wish you the time of your life here at our community, and hopefully you'll stay on because here's where the magic happens! n__n

Aye Cascade, it's really a great pleasure to meet you as well! Holla dear, and welcome to the PC forums! <3

Autumn Reverie has already shown you the Emulation and ROM Hacking section, which I do also recommend to check out there if you would like to learn everything that you need to know about ROM hacking in general! You can ask a question or two over on the simple questions thread, as well as take a look at some of the tutorials there to help you get started! But you've already seen that already, right? You can also ask one of the veteran hackers there if you have any questions about anything at all! Oh, and there are also nifty tools you can use to help you develop your hack! But yeah, hacking does take quite a lot of work to get done, but if you work at it, you'll succeed in no time! I'll be rootin' for ya if you decide to make one, and I wish you luck! <3

Let's ramba indeed, and I'll look forward on seeing your awesome self around the forums! You can contact myself too, if you have any questions 'bout anything at all! The members her eon PC are always willing to provide a helping hand too, so, don't hesitate on contacting any one of us, dear! Thanks for introducing yourself, and haaaave a blast! :3

The first step to creating a great ROM hack is dedication. Don't give up and always assume you'll make it to the end. That'll be a great motivator on its own! Not to mention we have so many resources to use for your game that you'll have pretty much everything you need to get you going.

Outside the tutorials and other resources the others linked you to, you can also try out the quick storyline idea thread. It's basically a place where you jot down what your game's plot/story is planned out to be so it's a good way to keep track of things and ask for help in that regard. It's a neat little resource that we encourage any aspiring hacker to use! Great way to start things off. Aaand don't forget the top sticky threads in the Team Discussions subforum (Voluntary Help Thread, Help recruitment thread). As the names imply they're places where you can request help or see who is offering help.

Much luck and a big welcome to the community! Hope you enjoy this place lots, we all do. =) Contact the staff if you need anything at all and see you around!

    Say thanks you three!

Hehe, it's always nice to see a wonderful community like this, welcoming people with open arms.

I remember the last forum I frequented(and still half do), KC-MM for Brawl Hacking. It was a really mixed bag and not too supportive, but past is the past and I've got high hopes for here~!

I'll be sure to check all those suggestions out, so thanks again and triple thanks for good measure!
