    Hello,

    Well where to start off...

First of all, I have been playing Pokemon for wow, since it ever came to the US. I been playing and watching the show since the R/B/Y days and the Kanto series.

I have played and beaten all the Pokemon games. I used to be into competitive battling until I got into my third year of college, then after that, my Pokemon playing friends either got married, went to other schools, or stopped altogether.

My brother still plays but now thanks to school, I am 3 hrs away. Anyways, I am very rusty on competitive battling and skills. Especially since now we don't have to personally know people with the game in order to battle someone.

I would like to get back into that, discussing Pokemon with people, and all that. So I decided to join up.

Besides Pokemon, I love my animals. I have dogs and reptiles. I am into sewing and crochet. I also play other games too, like PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Right now I am playing Pokemon Y and Pokemon White 2, trying to get some Pokemon ready to transfer over the the Alpha Sapphire I am getting. (I don't know how, but it seems like the 2nd versions always appealed to me and had the exclusives I wanted-- Pokemon Gold, Pokemon White, Pokemon X, etc)

    Welcome aboard!

Wi-fi games had really changed the competitive battles, that's for sure. And I think the change is positive ;).

Same here too. It brings people together. If you go on Wifi (random battling), you'll have to be ready. There are some very, very tough people and it's an awesome experience and can be a learning experience too. I got the EV trained Pokemon and a lot of them at that, but I lack on planning individual pokemon and team strategy.

    Welcome to Pokecommunity! :D

I do a bit of competitive battling myself, y'know. I'm not too fantastic but I once I get going I can eradicate a full bulky team in under a minute. :P (That's my record)

So, enjoy, yeah! ^3^ Have an awesome time and say hi sometime. 8D

Welcome to PC! It's a pleasure to have you here, and I hope you enjoy your stay with us!

If you're interested in getting back into competitive battling, you might want to check out the Battling & Team Building board - that's got everything you need to get back into it! Since online functionality has improved dramatically with X/Y, you don't really need to know people to battle with them (I got enough random requests for battles when I played the games anyway) but it's definitely more fun if you know the person in question!

If you ever need anything or just want to chat, feel free to PM me anytime. I look forward to seeing you around on the forums~

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes and I will surely check out the competitive and team building board! :D

I am also watching lots of youtube battles, so hopefully I can catch up on strategies and team building.

Lol that is what I dream of too. I want people to say "Dang", whether I win or not...I want my competitor to sweat.

My baby right now has to be my Blastoise who is just super defensive.
