I've been playing pokémon games for most of my life and I've had the idea in my head of making a fan game for years now. I decided to finally pursue the idea, but I'm pretty new to this stuff and still have some kinks to work out before I can get fully set up. I tend to fixate on projects like this in cycles, hyperfocusing on one for a bit, then another, and finally coming back to the first after a while. I'm a pretty big introvert, so I'm not usually one for conversation, but feel free to reach out to me. My favorite region's Unova - though I'm also partial to Hoenn - and I love the Gen 5 games, but I have so many favorite pokémon I can't keep track.

Which features would you put in your fan game project ?

I'm thinking of making a game focused on unearthing ancient secrets buried beneath Unova, with lots of lore tied in from the anime and the Gen 5 games. I actually have a pretty solid plan for it - I just need to get a development environment set up and learn the tools. I decided to go the decomp/dissassembly route for ROM hacking, but one of pokeemerald's dependencies is giving me a bit of trouble. I was going to ask about it in the forum but I'll probably end up getting around to that a bit later.

Hi. I don't really have a favorite type per se, but I've always been kinda fascinated by the Ghost type. I remember how interesting Litwick and its evolutions were to me the first time I played through the Generation 5 games, and I ended up using Golurk a lot. I also really like the Dragon type and have a couple favorite pokémon in that category. The Fairy type came out relatively recently so it's not as nostalic for me, but I really like it and think it's a very overdue addition to the games.

Who did you pick as your starter first time playing one of the Unova games? =3

I don't really remember. I think it was Tepig, but it might've been Oshawott. I like all three of Unova's starters and their evolutions, but I usually choose Oshawott in my playthroughs cause of how cute it is, but I sometimes go with Tepig when I want a little more flair or Snivy when I feel like shaking things up a bit.
