Hey everyone,

My name's Gary29 but most people call me Gary or Oak. I'm 17 years old and living in America. I've been a huge fan of Pokemon for years, ever since I was young, and I love competitive Pokemon (as well as competitive Super Smash Bros.).
I've been on other Pokemon forums before, but I've always wanted to join PokeCommunity as I used to browse as a guest and saw the wonderful community you guys have. Now that I've finally joined, I'm looking forward to making a lot of new friends and having a lot of fun~

I don't do in-game stuff very much, but I love playing the games and am a big fan of Gen 3 and ORAS. If you want a battle or just wanna talk to me, feel free to leave me a VM/PM or send a friend request!

Welcome to PC, Gary! Fellow newbie (am i still considered one?) here.

I love Gen 3 as well, and I played the crap out of AS. I also like to play Smash 3DS competitively. I'm not tournament-level good, but I can hold my own in For Glory, so that's pretty good, right? Anyway, if you'd like to play a 3DS match or two just message me, I sadly don't have a Wii U so I can't play that one. Aside from that, I just hope you have fun here!

I have never played the SSB games unfortunately, but I do sometimes chat on Showdown and we have a server over there if you're interested in competitive battling. The Battling & Team Building section as mentioned is also worth visiting if you want to learn more about the metagame and learn how to improve your team and such. And you're a Hoenn fan? That region is quite popular among fans, and I wouldn't blame them given the tropical environment makes it stand out quite a lot from its counterparts.
