Hey y'all. I'm new to this forum. Well, quite sincerely, i already know of this forum for some years now thanks to Pokémon Garnet (I bet zero of you are surprized), and recently me and some friends (well, two friends are just giving ideas for fakemons, while my other friend (yup, just three :/ ) is really into this and is gonna be on the credits in something more than "Special Thanks") are thinking on starting a project, a new fangame. So I decided that a good way to start would be to sign up here, get help from everyone that already has a lot of experience on this thing, get a lot of advice, and possibly help from y' guys.
Halfway through I realized the following text was GIGANTIC, so i'll put it in a spoiler.
Wow, that sure was big O.o
And I need to learn how not to start a phrase before finishing another one. I forgot where I was going with this... hmmm... Hi? No seriously, there was something I wanted to say but I forgot it :/
Well, hi anyway :D
Oooh, wait, I remember, does anyone know a good tutorial on how making sprites from scratch, (for trainers and pokémon) and/or a tutorial on how to make an actually good looking trainer sprite by using parts from existing sprites? I have already made one sprite actually, for a Fire-type Gym Leader, by merging different black/white sprites and recoloring it, although it still needs some refinement. I'd post it here, but I'm afraid the internet will find it and then someone will use it without crediting meeeee D: ! Y' know what's strange, normally I don't talk too much, but while writing on a forum I seen to be unable to stop writing. I'd better just stop now. You know, I spent minutes choosing exactly what the thread title would be before deciding simple was good. Must. Stop. Talking. Now. Now. Any moment now... Now I stopped! Dangit! D:<
EDIT: BTW, I noticed a lot of people introduce themselves with their real names 'round these parts, but all four names that are part of my full name sound weird to english speakers D:
I guess the least weird one would have to be Neto. So, call me that :D

Spoiler:
Well. My life as a pokémon trainer started in time so long ago my memories from then are hazy, i probably had four years at the time. My videogame ever was the Snes, but my first handheld console was the Gameboy Color. My first Pokémon game was Red, and later I had the chance to play Yellow. My third pokémon game was Gold, but long before its release, I constantly rented Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Stadium and Super Smash Bros, as well as Super Mario 64 for my Nintendo 64 that i got some time in between Yellow and Gold. with time and bad luck, my consoles perished one by one, and by the time the third gen came out I didnt had a single videogame. I guess that was when I started using the Computer, and now people say I'm addicted. Well, years passed, and I couldn't even follow the anime, so to me, for years pokémon was something I could only see in Magazines. A few years ago, my Christmas Gift was a Nintendo DSLite, but because my father couldn't pay 150 Reais (the currency in my contry, Brazil, and yes, that's a hella lot more than it should be) everytime i wanted a (damn i always forget to capitalize my "I"s, then i have to stop what Im writing to go back there and capitalize it, y' know what forget it D:< ) game, he bought for the same price a single R4 card that would allow me to download many games for free through the internet (hooray for piracy, Arrh :pirate: ), and I liked it because we didn't have to go to a store e'ry time i wanted a new game. Anyay, the card came with some games download already (Mario Hoops 3-on-3, New Super Mario Bros DS, Pokémon Diamond, Mario Kart DS, Mario Party DS, well, you get it, it was mostly mario). This was back when Diamond and Pearl were new, and so i played the game until the end, but i never managed to do any more after (considering I had no wi-fi and didn't like contests or the battle tower, the stark mountain was always the last thing i did, not counting getting event pokémon through hacks. Don't judge me, I didn't have wi-fi, remember?). Some months later, there was Platinum, but for some reason it didn't woork on my game card! D: Oh life! Woe is me! But then anyway, after months looking for a ROM that worked, i found one!!.. and then promptly ignored it. As the game was basically an updated D/P, I got bored before getting to Hearthome for the first time. Anyway, months later the was HeartGold SoulSilver, and thankfully, unlike Platinum, the first ROM i found did work with one problem... the anti-piracy measures. The game crashed continuosly (by the way, I played HeartGold) and so I ended up nor playing the game. I did find a way around, as I discovered that there was always a set number of times i needed to enter places/leave places/end battle before the game crashed that only started counting once i started the game (if i saved and then continued that save, the counter for crashing would reset), but i also realized that this set number decreased with each badge, andby te time I defeated Morty the game permanently crashed. Anyway, after a lot of literal crashs in the hands of my siblings, my poor DS couldn't take it anymore, and then departed to console Heaven, the place to where Consoles go if they played anything with more depht than CoD. Well, After years of mourning the loss of my trusted companion (which in this case means complaining to my father how i wanted the newest version, the DSi (yup, it was some years ago), I started playing a Nintendo DS emulator. I used a patch to surpass the anti-piracy measures and i did play HG... until I reached Viridian city that is, but then I lost motivation to play it and gave up, because hey, Black and White! So I started playing Black, but despite all the new cool pokémon i considered the game boring and stopped playing halfway through it, yet again. Now I'm waiting eagerly for Black 2 where some of my favourite pokémon will be avaible with the regional dex, such as Riolu, Growlith and Eevee. And just to be clear, I still don't have a DS, I'm planning to play it on a DS emulator. Though i do want a 3DS. And I do have a Xbox 360 (of course, no CoD, just Soulcalibur V, Batman, things like these) And yeah, that's my story as a pokémon trainer so far.
Wow, that sure was big O.o
