My name is TheShadow420BlazeIt, and I've been digging a LOT of ROM Hacks lately. I've played Pokemon Rocket Red Edition, and I'm currently playing Pokemon Unbound. I also want to try Radical Red too, and Pokemon Sevii.
Aside from playing ROM Hacks, I've been wanting to actually MAKE a GBA ROM Hack based off of Fire Red/Leaf Green. I already have a title in mind as well...
I call this: Pokemon 420! The main character is a seventeen year old pot-smoking delinquent named Trevor (who is inspired by Wes from Pokemon Coliseum and Trevor Phillips from GTA V) When Trevor gets in trouble with the law, he is forced by a probation officer to assist on filling out a Pokedex for Professor Ganja while taking part in the gym challenge. While doing this challenge, Trevor is also made to run errands for his criminal boss, these missions usually involve doing dirty favors for the gym leaders in this game, as well as altercations with a crime syndicate known as Team Phantom, who's goals are to awaken and control Lugia so as to dominate the Sevii Islands with an iron fist.
Features to be added to the game
-Gen 3 Graphics for the overworld but in battle it's DS graphics
-The physical/special split is gone and the fairy type is added.
Various new moves are also added.
-Numerous Pokemon from Generations 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8 are added.
-Pokemon which evolve from generation one pokemon are
included, as well as the following
-Regional variants
-Evolutions from regional variants which
include: Sirfetch'd, Mr. Rime, Perrserker, Runerigus, Obstagoon
and Cursola are added.
-Various Johto Pokemon including those with
evolutions from fourth gen are also included.
-Gen 7 starters, the Lycanroc and Melmetal evolutionary lines are added as well.
-All Fossil Pokemon are available
-All Eeveelutions are obtainable via evolutionary stones (I.E: Eevee evolves into Espeon via a Sun Stone)
-EXP Share is a key item which shares EXP to all Pokémon and can be switched on and off
-EXP Candies are possible
-Box Link is a thing
-Because the Gym Challenge isn't recognized by the Indigo League, there is no Elite Four or Champion, and usually when one completes the Sevii Gym Challenge, there is a congratulatory ceremony. This gets disrupted by Team Phantom, and the Elite 4 consist of four high profile criminals encountered throughout the story, while the Team Phantom Boss is the Champion
-Mega Evolution is a thing
-Trade Evolution Pokemon now have different methods of acquisition, eliminating the need for trades.
Any tips and advice on how to achieve all this? And is there anyone willing to work on a story with me?
