Hi! I'm Amy aka Jishin, a 20 year old girl living in Belgium. English is not my first language so please bear with me if I make any (stupid) mistakes on my grammar. I speak Dutch at home so, yeah.

Let me tell you a bit about my Pokémon history. I'm a REALLY late Pokémon fan. I started playing Pokémon the moment the first Nintendo DS came out. My first game ever was FireRed because my Nintendo DS had a GBA insert. A few months later I purchased Pearl and that's where the addiction really started. I always wanted a Game Boy when I was little but my mom told me: "It's a game BOY, it's for BOYS and you're a girl so you can't have one" so blame her for my late start, hehe. But I'm catching up and I recently got a Game Boy Color with all the classics, let's restart my childhood. :D

My favorite Pokémons are Glameow & Purugly because they remind me of myself. They're both divas, lol! And I love cats.

That's it! If you want to know more about me, feel free to ask. ;) I'm really looking forward to join the community and share my Pokémon love with all of you!

Oh, I love neko (cats) too! They are just too c-cute! ^^
Anyways.. Welcome to PokeCommunity Forums! One of the most active Pokemon Forums. Pokemon Emerald was my first game in my Gameboy Advance. Your mom meant that game-boy literally for boys only. Which is funny, moms are moms, I guess. English is not my first language though, but I started to get this English a little advance through reading English Dictionaries. Feel free to vm/pm me if you want to talk about something. Have fun in PC! I shall give you my neko love... *Blows a kiss* chow.

    Welcome to PC Jishin!
Your just like my classmate. (who's a girl and likes cats)
Welcome to PC (again)and we Hope you have lotsa fun here!

    Hello there Amy, welcome aboard!

I remember welcoming another Belgian here a few days ago so no surprise I now see myself welcoming another. Don't worry if you are a late bloomer to Pokemon games, that was me as well. I never played the first two generations, and this year marked 10 years since I played my first Pokemon game. I also hardly knew of many female Pokemon players until joining this community two years ago, and now I have found out that there's just as many female Pokemon fans as there are males.

And wow a Glameow and Purugly fan? I hardly see those two getting any love whatsoever so nice to see you showing the love. Anyways, I'm sure you'll enjoy what the forum has on offer and if you need help, don't hesitate to ask a question or two. I'll be seeing you around!

Hiya Amy, welcome to PokeCommunity! <3 I don't really speak English at home either but even so your English is wonderful from what I can see. Even though I primarily speak Russian at home, I'm still really good at English after having lived here for so long.. though it's nice being fluent in two languages, isn't it?

And honestly.. starting out with Pokemon on the DS isn't late at all. We actually have a good chunk of people joining who only began the series now with X and Y. :o I always recommend playing through older Pokemon games you've missed despite the graphics though, as they're all so amazing. Would be great to get a feel for how the series used to be so you can see how much it's grown!

Enjoy your stay here and stick around, yes? Let me know if you need some help~

    Hey, welcome.
I only joined here yesterday but hope to see you around. Shame your Mum thought Gameboys were only meant for guys haha, but you're not that late starting compared to some people. I started Pokémon when the original Red came out.
I like the opposite to you; you like felines (cats) and I like the canines (dogs, wolves). Mightyena is my favourite (technically it's a hyena but I see it far closer to a wolf). :t262:
