I'm not very good with these intro things, please bear with me.
So...hi, I'm Syndaesia - or Syn if you'd prefer, it's much less of a hassle to type! - and I joined last night after a bit of a browse around. I've been playing Pokemon since Gen I, although it's more of a junk/comfort food type of experience for me now: something I don't really enjoy very much compared to other things, but can't stop consuming because I've been doing it for pretty much all of my life! I was 10 when I played my first Pokemon game, and for all their flaws they never fail to take me back to happier, simpler times. Pokemon has always been a part of my life in some form, for better or worse, and I don't think that's ever going to change.
General stuff about me...I play a lot of video games. Mostly RPGs, but as I've gotten older my tastes have expanded a bit so I play a lot of different things now. I write news articles for a Nintendo-focused video game website, which is pretty rewarding. I picked up digital art at the start of the pandemic and whilst I'm not very confident in my abilities it's something I enjoy doing quite a bit. I have an extremely unrewarding and tedious job, but I work from home so it's not as bad as it could be. I've...run out of things to say. I guess I'll see you around?
