    ITT: CONGRATULATIONS! YOU FOUND SMUGLEAF
    [PokeCommunity.com] Hidden things (like Smugleaf)

Just kidding, this thread has nothing to do with Smugleaf.

Though, while you're here, let's discuss the Dowsing Machine. What hidden items have you found so far? What's the most useful item you've found? Do you keep the Dowsing Machine on at all times? I do. Do you like this better than the old Dowsing Machine? I do.

Yeah, I love this thing. It's a billion times better than old Dowsing Machines because it tells you about stuff without you needing to continuously check. Having to turn it on all the time is a little annoying, but it's still fine. :D

Well, this is the first game in the series where some hidden treasures respawn.
That itself should make dowsing fun.

Scouring the beaches everyday for Scales is pretty good, not to mention the lone drink can outside the Shopping Mall which respawns frequently.

Wow than that should make it easier to find those scales to have your pokemon learn back old moves :)
I always used to think that they re-spawned in RSE but I later discovered it wasn't true...thought it's nice to see that it came true two gens later :)

...There's a Dowsing Machine? Maybe I should check my bag more often. And you know, use it.

The prospects of picking up a discarded drink from the floor and feeding it to your Pokemon is strange. Would you really pick up a water bottle from the middle of the road and drink it? ...lol.

Chances are the drinks aren't even cold anymore. Ew.

Trainer: "Well it ain't me drinking it, so fine by me."

And the Pokemon seem to like the drinks, so... =p

I quite like the Itemfinder in this game (or well, Dowsing Machine but I prefer the old name =p). I did find it annoying to have to switch back and forth between it and the menu though - each tim I want to save or check the party I'd have to go and reselect it - minor but not ideal for me. =p I like that it's automatic, although visually I do prefer the HGSS one... it's around as good as the HGSS one IMO though overall.

That menu-to-Dowsing Machine swap is mainly because of the C-Gear. Otherwise, we'd just be able to open the menu and still have the Dowsing Machine open in the background... Like in DPPt

OMG It's so easy to use! But, I had no idea items respawn! :P At least it's not like the HGSS one where you are constantly spinning circles on the touch screen trying to find things. This one points to the item, and tells you if you are stepping on it. So simple! Yet so ingenius!
    That was annoying in Hgss...

Haven't played BW or seen the machine in action, but if it's better than HGSS's than it's a must see, cause I LOVED the dowsing machine from HGSS.

You probably would if civilisation as we know it had collapsed after a zombie apocalypse and you needed to gather supplies.

Unfortunately, the pokemon series has no zombies....so that messes up that theory. :/

When I get pokemon white, I really need to use the dousing machine more. I rarely ever used it in previous games....it's easy to forget.

I know this thread has nothing to do with "Smugleaf" but I just need to say that his name is Tsutarja.

Anyways, where is the dowsing machine in my bag? I'm clueless I didn't know there was even one in BW!

I hope its good, but i dont have the game in the first place so yea.........I will soon though and hope I (dont forget to take it out of the box like some people)

It's just a fan name. xD

The Dowsing Machine is a key item, just like in previous games. You get it from Belle in Shippou City.

This dowsing Machine is actually fun to use,
Since HG-SS Dowsing machine has been evolving and it gets less annoying and less obsolete to use in every game, Thumbs up for it.

dowsing machine? I didn't know there was one...the game is all Japanese to me...
