I need 26 Credits, and I have to take 3 years of a Language (Portugese and French) 3 Years Math, Two years of Sceince, One year of Technology, Three years of History, and 5 Elective Courses. :) ? Voc??

*probably true for most Canadian public high schools...

-English 30, with 65% and above on diploma
-Social 30, with 65% and above on diploma
    - one of the following at lvl 30, with 65% and above on final average/diploma: biology, chemistry, physics
-a foreign language at lvl 30, with 65% and above on diploma
-PE 10, with 65% and above on final average

(note: lvl 30 course means a gr.12 lvl of difficulty course, 20 is for gr. 11 and 10 is for gr.10) *

    In my school you need:

    -30 credits to graduate
    -40 hours of Community Service
-And must pass the grade 10 Literacy Test

I don't really have to worry about the Literacy test just yet seeing how I'm still in grade 9 XD.

At my school you need 100 credits to graduate, too, with 48 hours of Community Service...and it is just horrible. Trust me.

    You need at least:

    - 4 years of Wellness (Physical Education)
    - 3 years of History (World History to 1800, World History to Present, and U.S. History)
    - 2 consecutive years of a World Language (French, Spanish, or Italian)
    - 4 years of English
    - 1 Elective (per year)
    - 3 years of Mathematics (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2)
    - 2 years of a Laboratory Science (Biology and Chemistry)

And now, you need to pay at least $100 to participate in an extracurricular activity like Athletics, Performing Arts, and Clubs.

they also hate, and i mean HATE the class of 2006. we are the first class that has to pass the CAPT test. you take it in 10th (my grade) it's something like: connecticut academic performance test. it's a bunch of stuff like reading across the disciplines, writing across the disciplines, mah, science, maintenance of a healthy lifestyle (WHAT???) citizenship skills, art awareness and appreciation. whats up with the last few. no idea what those are about. i told you they hate us. before this test was just like a survey to see where the average 10th grader placed. we have to pass in 2 tries or we can't graduate.

    Mandatory:
    English (Grades 9-12)
    Religion (Grades 9-12)

We need 32 credits to pass high school, 40 hours of community service, and we have to pass the literacy test in grade 10. =\

x3 And if I pass all my courses this year, I'll already have 10 of the 32 credits.

Oh, Connecticut isn't the only state with one of those horrid tests...>_< Massachusetts has them, too, but they're called the MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System) test. It's taken in 4th, 8th, and 10th grade. It's also mandatory for you to pass on the 10th grade exam in order to graduate from high school. Now, I normally don't mind tests too much, but this one just wanted to make me cry...O_o; They make it so stinkin' hard that I really think they want us all to fail, lol. I hate it. Everyone else hates it. Every schoolboy/girl hates Mit Romney (Governor of Massachusetts) because he supports the MCAS. Grrrr...

    you need 28 credits total

you need the following Math credits:
    Algebra I
    Algebra II
    Geometry

you need the following science credits:
    IPC (integrated Physics and Chemestry)
    Biology
    Chemistry OR Physics

you need the following social studies credits:

    U.S. History
    Economics OR U.S. Government

you need the following language arts credits:
    Englsih I
    English II
    English III
    (simple eh?)

    2 foreign language credits
    2 career/technology classes
    2 fine arts credits
    2 PE/Athletics credits

and the rest are free for you to choose, but the counselors always place you in classes that direct you towards your chosen career

and beginning with my class (c/o '05), we have to pass all four sections of the TAKS test (Texas Assesment of Knowledge and Skills). I'm also sure there is a community service requirement, but I'm sure I got that covered with all the hours I put into scouting and my church.

You had to bring up the Mcas!! that test is so evil Why do we have to take it!! I hate it... I almost failed last years! :( stupid form 23!

New York has one of the toughest graduation requirements in America. 4 Credits in English and Social Studies. 3 Credits in Math and Science. So many electives, and we have Regents which you have to pass in order to graduate. If you don't you automatically fail and have to go to Summer School. Stupid NYS requirements! GRR!

Actually if I didnt mention, its quite easy to pass my school.

    You need to take

4 years of English (One Semestere = 1 Year)
3 Years of Science(2) and Technology(1) (Biology, Chemistry, or Pyshics) and (Computer Programming, or Industrial)
3 Years of Mathematical Studies (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II)
3 Years History (World history, Us, and Current Events )
3 Years of Language (POrtuguese, French, Spanish, Latin, more)
4 Years of Gym ( One Semester Every year) or Health (2 Semesters only)
and thats basically it!! lol im hyper

    My school, heavy requirements.

You need 125 Credits in total to gradulate. If you absent, you lose credit!
If you don't have 25 credits (I think) or higher, you need to take summer school to make it up.

:-/.. Also, you have to take the HSPA... the big test to pass highschool. o.o

125.. thats totally impossible to Obtain! It's usually 24-32 Credits for all high School's in America. How many Credits are your classes each worth?

Well, high credit ratings, around 5-7 credits per course... anyway.

HSPA = High School Profinecy Assissment

Oh you must go to a very unique school I guess, Usually courses are 1 credit or less.
