Hiya!

Hiya! How are you doing?

I'm so happy to meet you! But I'm a little sad, though, that the awesome username Voyager has already been taken.

I have to admit, though, that person made a good choice.

So now I'm The Other Voyager, which is a pretty cool name too.

My goal, and my only goal, is one of the most incredible things: explore.

I'm sure you'll agree that meeting new people is one of the best things about exploring.

I'm so excited to explore every corner of this new place, and I'm sure we'll have some great conversations along the way.

Nice to meet you @The Other Voyager
Exploring is quite fun, especially wandering around in the world of Pokemon. What got you into Pokemon?

That's a really good question. It made me think a bit.
I started liking Pokémon the moment I played Pokémon Blue Version, years ago.
So, of the three Starter Pokémon available to choose from, the little turtle, Squirtle, captivated me, despite its simple appearance.
I also really like the Pokémon anime series, and I will watch it again in the future.
But I think I love the Pokémon games even more.

Hello there Other person named Voyager, and welcome to the PC.

I can't say I've ever seen a new site user take to the M&G section so quickly before lol. Was quite surprising to be sure, though very welcome. :p

Do you have a favorite Pokemon typing?

Hiya, Alex_Among_Foxes!
And thanks for the welcome!
Well, I'm surprised that you're surprised. I'm doing what I normally do: exploring.
Writing quickly by sequentially pressing all the buttons on my keyboard is something I always do. I ended up developing a faster writing speed with the buttons, because of this... My fingers seem to fly!
And well, about your question, I have several favorite types, but the main one? Well, the three main types of Pokémon that I like are Poison, Electric, and Fairy types. I've always found Pokémon of these three types so captivating, but that doesn't mean I like Pokémon of other types any less - I love them all!
It's great to meet you!

Well there's a lot on the PC to see, so you'll not run out of new opportunities to explore here anytime soon lol.

Nice typing picks! The one that I know the most of those 3 is Electric, which managed to recently overtake Steel as my third favorite. What are your favorite Pokemon of each of your 3 types?

I'm sure yes. I realized that there are always new things here, on this forum, so I will always have new opportunities for further exploration.
And well, my favorite Pokémon of the three types I mentioned?
I will mention them one by one.
Among the Pokémon introduced in Kanto, Venusaur, Beedrill and Nidoking were the Poison types that I used most.
I've used Venusaur many times, it's one of my favorite Grass-type starters, and it's helped me in a lot of risky situations. Against most gym leaders in the Kanto region, my Venusaur were powerful, often going undefeated.
Beedrill is one of my favorites here, mainly because I really like its design, and its offensive power stood out, in my eyes. I think Weedle is cute, besides. One of my first shinies was a Shiny Weedle, which I found by chance, when I was training my team. I threw a PokéBall as soon as I saw it, and it went in, without any fanfare.
When I used it, Nidoking was the one that proved to be the most powerful in attacking. My Nidoking were victory machines, they defeated everything and everyone who foolishly decided to get in their way. When I entered the field, my Nidoking's victory was guaranteed.
Now, of the electric types, the one I used most was Pikachu. He's one of my favorite Electric types, powerful, fast and everything. Watching the anime also made me like Pikachu even more. Therefore, whenever possible, I have a Pikachu on the team. But I don't hesitate to evolve it as soon as I get a Thunder Stone, Raichu needs more love.
Ampharos is next, and I don't need to tell you why I like Ampharos. Powerful, but not that fast. Cute, but with destructive power.
From the second generation, Ampharos is one of my favorites, without a shadow of a doubt.
I wanted to talk more about Electric types, but I need to talk about my favorite Fairy types. This message is longer than I would have expected it to be.
Togekiss, Florges and Gardevoir are at the top, without a doubt. I started liking Togepi and Togetic since the second generation, and when it got a new evolution, I was ecstatic. When the fairy type emerged to shake the throne of the undefeated dragons, I knew I had to have a fairy type on my team.
Gardevoir is a Pokémon that I really like, it is a fast and powerful Pokémon, which surpasses the speed of all the opponents I have faced when using its abilities. However, I'm sad that this is yet another Pokémon that people and the internet destroyed.
Florges is everything I could want in a Pokémon. I like flowers, and I think Flabébé is a very curious Pokémon. Like the other two mentioned above, Florges is one of my favorite fairy types.
Well, I guess that's it...

I also really like Beedrill's design, it's one of my favorite Bug Pokemon. And Nidoking's a great pick too. Though I tend to favor its Ground typing side for easy wins with Earthquake spam lol.
You said Raichu doesn't gt enough love, yet it's very close to my favorite Electric type Pokemon as well. (nothing beats Luxray as top pick for me, though) I had a run of Fire Red where I gave a Raichu Mega Punch, then proceeded to use it on evry Psychic type Pokemon I met going forward (especially against 'Blue's Alakazam, something about the mental image of a small, fat little mouse casually walking up to a big imposing Psychic type, jumping into the air, then just decking it in the face as hard as it can never once didn't make me laugh lol, and I've lovd Raichu ever since :p)
Gardevoir is also a really strong pick. I've made at least 3 champions at this point, and it's very likely to happen again. Extremely versatile and powerful.
The rest of the Pokemon you named I'm not as familiar with, but it's really cool you gave them a shot and found yourself really liking them!

The mental image of a Raichu hitting an Alakazam, and whoever comes out after it, made me laugh out loud.
I give every Pokémon I can a chance. They all need to light up the battlefield!

Hello!
Fairy is in my top 5 favorite types, with Electric being tied with Water for 5th. Not sure where I'd rank Poison atm. It is my preferred Fairy types melter, over Steel types though.
Personally I prefer Raichu over Pikachu and like it quite a lot. Do you prefer the original one or the Alolan version ?

Is the Voyager from your username referencing the Star Trek series by any chance?

Hiya, ReKoil!
It's great to meet you!
I prefer both Raichus, be it the original Raichu or the regional Alola form.
And no, my username is not a reference to Star Trek.
I chose "Voyager" because I am some kind of traveler, and I always seek to discover and learn new things, in new places.
