How do I find a specific trainer in Hex Maniac Advance? For example, let's say I wanted to edit all the trainers in the Viridian Forest. How could I find specifically them in HMA?

I tried to do that. Opened up the trainer in advanced map using XSE to get the id number, but I cannot find the id number in hex maniac

In that case you should use A-trainer by mackmew.

Will that cause issues with re mapping the pointers?

No, A-Trainer will ask you AND give recomendation new pointer / offset.
it need to repoint if you add pokemon, or using custom item/moves.
if you only change pokemon, trainer sprite, name or give item, it didnt need to repoint

HMA didnt has feature to know every trainer on each map.
you need to manually search name or ID for each trainer
