4th Gen Ho-Oh/Lugia

I'm guessing it will be the same as the original. I want to be able to get both ~>.<~

Maybe they'll make a G/S underground to get the rainbow wing. Much better plot-wise... Or maybe a wifi event :D

I'm sorry if this is already covered somewhere else, but do you guys think that Ho-Oh and Lugia will be version-exclusive or will they be in both games like they were in the original Gold and Silver? I personally hope that they'll be in both versions because if they aren't, that's going to pretty much change which version I'm going to buy DX

You'll be able to get both. That's how it was in the originals and considering they won't be making a 3rd version for remakes, that's how it'll be for HGSS.

In the original, the cover legendary was ... level 40 I believe. Then after you got to kanto (and did something) an old man would give you the item necessary to fight the other legendary at level 70. It should be the same.

Silver Wing and Rainbow wings to be exact. That man was in Pewter city and If I remember correctly all you did was talk to the guy -.- but aside from that I totally agree. My question is such: Will the cutscenes be exclusive considering or are they just title sequences?

I don't think they'd change that aspect. They already have enough incentive for people to buy both versions by making Groudon and Kyogre each exclusive to one version and making it so you need both to get Rayquaza. Making too many legendaries only available in one version would just annoy people.

For the cutscenes... I don't think they would be exclusive if both legends are available in each game. Same thing if it's the title sequence, they could easily put both in there.

I ment more like if its in the bottom screen of the title screen like dialga palkia and giritina were for dppt

Ohhh I see. Well they could still make a Ho-oh for Gold and Lugia for Silver. They had them on the titles for the original GSC =P

Yea thats what I'm saying ^_^ cause all we know is those scenes are there. What if they are the ones for the title. It would make a bit of sense cause we dont know how they work yet. Either way they do it it will still be neat.

It was confirmed that they are both capturable in both games.

There was a pre-existing thread - also with a similar title - next time, just run a search first for it.

Anyways, merged the two threads. One can keep on discussng other stuff such as the cutscenes, or whether the methods for getting both remain the same, and so forth. But yes - you can get both in each game.

Seeing as how you could get both in each of the previous games, they will definitely be catchable in both. But you will have to go to Pewter and get the other wing to be able to catch the other.

For Nintendo to make more money, I think they're going to make Ho-oh and Lugia version specific. If that's the case, I'm definitely getting SoulSilver.

I think they'll make Lugia & Ho-Oh specific to their editions. I doubt you'll be able to get both in the same game.

its been confirmed that they're both in both editions :|
so surely this thread isnt really needed?

Yea you are right, and no matter how many times people here it is confirmed they still speculate.
