5th Gen Hoenn

So, I know many people were expecting R/S/E remakes to be revealed instead of B2/W2, but seeing as that isn't going to happen (at least not yet[?]) but do you think there could be a possibility of B2/W2 to perhaps in some way hint towards Hoenn? Whether that's sticking Rayquaza, Kyogre and Groudon in the games, or perhaps Latias and Latios. A few have mentioned actually stick Hoenn into the game, which does seem unlikely, but hey - we've already been surprised by B2/W2. We could even see characters from from Hoenn make an appearance.

I haven't exactly done my research on when the events of R/S/E happen compared to B/W's events, but that doesn't necessarily mean that if B2/W2 do happen to be sequels or and whatever hints were pointed at in B/W (Hoenn hints), I'm sure they could tie in with Hoenn one way or another- I'll should stop rambling and let you guys post with your thoughts now. ;.;

Also, feel free to post on your thoughts about other regions being hinted at or think will tie in with these two games.

Well to start I doubt Hoenn will be included B2W2, I'm not saying it won't I just don't see it happening. I think there will be some references to Hoenn depending on what the storyline is based upon i.e at the end it will actually say N flew off to Hoenn or something similar to that context and most likely some events/dialouge that will link Hoenn somehow as they did with Johto in DPPT.
I think we might see a new smaller region, that is something I would like.

Bw have already hinted towards hoenn with the dive ball returning to its Rse mechanics. But we could still see something else

Well, I would hope so because I REALLY want those remakes, and I know they are probably gonna come but hinting would confirm that a bit you know.

Hoenn was also mentioned in HGSS so I think we can say we will get the remakes still I just don't see it being with Unova. But anythign is possible. It may just be a heck of a curve ball they throw in.

I think they actually did enough hinting in BW alone but it wouldn't hurt to throw in a few more in the new games.

Remember with the last generaion, we got a game to top the pair off, and then the remakes. Black and white 2 would be the top off here, followed later by the remakes if they continued this pattern. The only reason I can forsee them not doing it is because the BW/RSE timelines didn't happen at the same time, but I doubt (more like hope) they would care.

I expect to see something about Hoenn in B2/W2. It could be some broadcast in game's TV about weather crisis in Hoenn. That broadcast could be interrupted in the middle of action because of storm caused by fighting Kyogre and Groudon.

The only reason I can forsee them not doing it is because the BW/RSE timelines didn't happen at the same time, but I doubt (more like hope) they would care.

That actually isn't certain, in B/W NPCs talk about teams Rocket and Galactic but nothing about Aqua/Magma, so they could happen at similar time.

I think Black and White 2 will be the equvilent of a third game, or grey. I honestly doubt they would make two new games, a sequel, and then a top off game....that would be 5 near identical games right there.

I highly doubt there would be a third game, this whole two game sequel concept is a new idea in place of the third game, that would be 5 visits to Hoenn within 3 years.. they need to mix it up.

This could just be nothing, but take a look at the images of the titles of B2 and W2. In one of them the 2 is red, in the other it's blue. And it kind of looks like there's a ruby behind one and a sapphire behind the other.

I wish I had a nickel for everytime someone says this. Those are not ruby and sapphire those are electricity and flames covered in Ice representing Zekrom and Reshiram.

Indeed those colors are electricity and flames. But they might be also subliminal messages about Ruby/Sapphire. I think now that 5 gen games could be meant to be "evolving" in case of colors. First we got basic colors - black and white. Now we're getting black and white mixed with red and blue. So maybe finally we'll get full red and blue - R/S remakes?

People seem to think anything associated with Hoenn is automatically a hint towards the potential remakes. I'll admit that some of them are rather believable, but for the most part things like the legendaries from HeartGold and SoulSilver or the remixed Elite Four theme in Black and White get the hopes of many people up.

I definitely think we'll be getting remakes at some point; not because of Game Freak's earlier formula, but because there are literally millions of people around the globe begging and pleading for them to be made. I'm sure Junichi Masuda hears about these things all the time, especially since he even addressed the possibility in an earlier tweet. Remember PokéManiacs, patience is a virtue.

Really? Hoenn of all places? If not for the simple fact that Hoenn is next on the list to be remade, the inclusion of Hoenn in B2/W2 would make about as much sense as including Orre... or the Mushroom Kingdom... or Detroit... or, well, you get the picture.

Unova is simply too isolated from other regions. It wouldn't make sense for any references other than perhaps a couple NPC's mentioning Hoenn when you talk to them. Maybe Steven or Wallace in an event battle. Seeing Hoenn legendaries in Unova wouldn't be logical. (Then again, a bunch of Hoenn legendaries appeared in HG/SS and the bird trio appeared in Platinum, so Game Freak has had a history of sticking random legendaries in regions where they wouldn't be logically found. So I'm not discounting that Hoenn legendaries could show up, just that they would feel randomly tacked on).

One thing that would keep me from buying B2/W2 was if Hoenn was somehow included. I'm not about to suffer through that waterlogged region with too many swimmers per capita and too many deluded inhabitants who think a cluster of tree houses constitutes a city. Regardless of how epic the main Unova campaign of the game may or may not be.

What other colors could represent Reshiram's fire & Zekrom's electricity? It's just a coincidence, I'll admit I thought the same but it's just obvious what it stands for.

check serebii, Game Freak already said that it will have a new story line.

on subject, if they put more hints toward hoenn that would be enough for me, and i mean obvious hints.

Because of things like those and many more I like Hoenn so much. But I can understand you don't like Hoenn very much - it's so specific that some people love it, some hate it.

I wouldn't go as far as saying I hate it, but Hoenn is definitely my least favourite region simply because of the fact that there is way too much water. Still awesome, though!
