    [PokeCommunity.com] Horde Encounters

Kalos came with various interesting new features, one of them being Horde battles. Instead of only finding one Pokemon in the wild per encounter, you could come across a group! Granted, they were half the average level of Pokemon in the route and primarily of the basic stage, but it was still a new way to battle and capture wild Pokemon. Usually, it would be all one species, or one that's different, like a horde of Zangoose with one Seviper. I feel like if they bring this to ORAS, they could improve it, like making more diverse groups of Pokemon, giving the trainer an extra reward for taking out an entire horde, etc. What do you guys think will happen with them in the remakes? Will this feature change?

It'd be nice if they introduced more rivalries like the Seviper/Zangoose one. It'd make some Pokemon harder to catch and would be a fun challenge to KO the other 4 before the 'rival' 1 is knocked out!

I think they'll include these! I mean, why not? I also think they'll include wild Double battles somewhere. :) They don't really have a reason not to include them, anyway. They're updating all the grass tiles anyway so they might as well just put in a couple Doubles grass.

I think it will be in the games on account that Hoenn is a diverse and natural region and you are bound to find exotic and more wild Pokemon so my answer is yes. They will return.

Horde Encounters successfully livened up wild Pokemon battles, and they can do more with it in ORAS. Like in routes before Fortree City, they could make a horde with one Tropius and Slakoth and Ninjask surrounding it, to represent the animals that inhabit rain forests. Same could be said for the desert, Mt. Chimney, Shoal Cave, and other areas.
