[News] Horizon 2 Forbidden West Goes Gold

Guerrilla Games shared a new tweet just a few hours earlier, confirming that the development process for Horizon 2 Forbidden West has finished. This is the biggest news of today for PlayStation fans as a great adventure awaits them up ahead in a much bigger world.

According to the development team at Guerrilla Games, Horizon 2 Forbidden West will provide several hundred hours of content for gamers, including the main campaign and all side quests.

The team recently revealed during an interview that the story of Forbidden West will follow Aloy's journey after the events of Zero Dawn while putting so much pressure on her from the threats up ahead.

Regarding how long it takes to completely finish Horizon 2, the review codes could already be out, and the reviewers might receive one or two updates during the playthrough until the official launch.

While PlayStation 5 is supposed to be the home platform of Horizon 2 Forbidden West, the game will be available on PS4 as well. Earlier today, Sony shared a new look at the gameplay of Forbidden West on PS4 Pro, which still looks breathtaking.

PS4 Pro Footage:

Horizon 2 Forbidden West will be available on February 18 for PS4 and PS5. Although there is no plan at the moment to launch the game on PC, we could expect it to be available on Steam a few years later.

Preordered already. It looks so good (especially the underwater portions) I just hope my 3 years old PS4 Slim can handle it 😵

I can't wait for this, I absolutely loved the first game.

PSA: If anyone has a PS5 and wants to play the PS5 version, get the PS4 version because it'll be cheaper and you can upgrade to the PS5 version for free.

My absolute favourite, though I am holding out getting this game until I can actually get a PS5 that is not off a scalper because I don't want to feed those people, though I might give in and buy the PS4 one considering how much I miss Aloy.

The graphics are incredible! Normally I'm not keen on games that go for a lifelike look because they often age badly / feel grainy and are overly done a lot of the time, but this game's environments are so clean and immersive. And the cutscenes are great as well!

I'm hopeful the mechanics are just as enjoyable to play. Can't tell from the footage alone but I'm definitely interested, and look forward to the game if it ever comes to PC.
