Alright guys, I'm closing up entry's for the contest tomorrow morning my time, so about 14 hours from now. After that, can everyone please PM me the final copy of their event idea, and I'll get them all posted in one post. Then I'll open up voting for 2 days, and after that, we'll work on scripting them ^^
So remember guys, for your final drafts, the hero does not speak, and Enigma is a fixed government, not separate groups, or a team, or anything like that. And try not to make the event anything that will affect the plot in a huge way. I still want the main plot to be what we have now, but I wouldn't mind a side story ^^ Remember, this contest is for one event, not the whole story of the game :P

when u say the male walking overworld do u mean the male main character or all male characters? i mean like if you're importing more than just new main character overworlds. lol sorry if that made no sense at all. XD

Other: Come quick! A fight has broken out in Pavlov's lab!

Player walks to the lab and is greeted by a hostile scene: townspeople surround two men in lab coats with a third man in a suit off to the side.

???: Damnit, Valentine! I won't let you do this to us! This changes nothing for you. Nothing! I'll kill you!

Valentine: My dear Boris –

Pavlov: That's Dr. Pavlov to you!

Valentine: As I was saying, my dear Boris: you and my employer had an agreement – a contract, in fact – and your request is in direct violation with that agreement.

Pavlov: It's one machine, and one damn egg! It won't make a bit of difference if we use it once before passing it on. Mr. Valentine, you may be a man of funds but I've always been a man of action; I'll kill you if you attempt to take this opportunity away from me.

Valentine: I'd like to see you try.

Player steps up: Stop! I don't fully understand what's going on here, but this won't solve anything!

An Enigma officer walks in, the crowds depart silently.

Officer: I trust you can resolve this by yourselves, gentlemen? I have important business to attend to, and if I'm forced to return you'll both disappear. Am I understood?

Valentine+Pavlov: Yes sir.

Officer: Good, if either of you hear anything about the son of a ranger I expect you to inform me immediately. Is that understood?

Valentine+Pavlov: Yes sir.

Officer: I'll be off then. Good day to you, gentlemen.

Valentine (to player): So, you're the son of a ranger, eh? Don't look so surprised; your emotions are what gave it away in the first place. Don't worry, your secret's safe with me.
Player: You seem to be mistaken… but what exactly is going on here?

Pavlov: I was hired by a Mr. Barnes to develop a modified incubator to hatch the offspring of a species thought previously to be extinct. You see, the pokemon inside are essentially frozen without contact from their mother – no growth, no aging, no life. There are currently no known female specimens left in the world, but my assistant and I have managed to recreate that contact with a series of electrical stimuli. It's almost completed!

Anderson: We should have it up and running by the end of the week, by my estimates.

Valentine: Oh it'll be finished alright, just need a few more parts – a few more incredibly expensive parts – and should Boris here stay true to his word, the machine will be in my boss' hands in no time. If, however, he attempts to use it for himself, it will be ceased and funding will be pulled immediately.

Anderson: I still don't understand, why can't we both use this machine? Dr. Pavlov and I have been slaving over this device for years!

Valentine: Tell them, Boris. Give him the full story, no more of your half truths and deception.

Pavlov: … there is… a chance that the machine will only have enough life to restore one egg to life. But even if that is the case we could just recreate it.

Valentine: Exactly, you're being paid handsomely to develop technology and now you're attempting to take advantage of our good will. I'm sure we see eye to eye, (hero).

Pavlov: This is my life's work! My life's work! I just need to know what's inside this egg… I need to know… please, I have no family, this egg's mother was my family. It was my life! You must understand, I beg of you!

Valentine: I'll tell you what. We have an industrious young man with us, and the son of a ranger, no less. Why don't we let him decide?

Pavlov: I… Okay. Please understand what I'm going through…

Valentine: That's quite enough Boris. He understands the law, and justice will be served. So what'll it be?

The player will then have the option of siding with either Boris Pavlov, the scientist, or Mr. Valentine and his wealthy boss. It's a question of emotion vs. justice, and your choice will matter. Siding with Valentine will lead to the closing of the lab and Pavlov turning on you later in the game in the form of an extra battle in a post-game dungeon. If you choose Pavlov, Valentine's powerful employer, Mr. Barnes, will close his mansion down to you and you'll see several of his agents sent to seek revenge for your choice later in the game.

If Pavlov:

Pavlov: Thank you! Thank you so much…

Valentine: Your funding is through, and you'll be hearing from our lawyers. And you (turns to player). You'll be hearing from us.

You'll then have to bring a prototype to various cities (the first of which being to the next town you're supposed to go to) in order to show off the technology and get support in the form of the missing materials. Once the pokemon is hatched, the device will break and he'll thank you profusely and tell you to take the pokemon, explaining that it deserves a trainer who will challenge and raise it, but asks you to stop in occasionally. Later on there will be more quests from Pavlov.

If Valentine:

Valentine: An excellent choice, my boy.

Pavlov: You… you're heartless. I'm taking the machine with me! Damn your decision! Damn you all! (To other man) Anderson, let's leave.

Valentine: Anderson, you have a family to feed – be reasonable and bring the device over here.

Anderson: I'm sorry Boris… I'm so sorry.

Pavlov leaves. You'll then bring valuable gems to exchange for the missing parts, and Anderson will help assemble the device. Once the pokemon is hatched you'll be given the pokemon and told that they have plenty more. You'll also be informed that Barnes wants to meet with you about a job opportunity, opening new missions later.

Regardless of who you choose, the other will report you to the Enigma officer and you'll be forced to leave town with the instruction of attaining the parts, and leading you to the next stop on your path. Should you choose to ignore the quest that'll be fine, but you'll miss everything that follows.

You walk out of the gym and you catch some glare from the sun, (and as everyone does) you look up (coincidentally) at the tip of the mountain thing (sorry I forgot what you said exactly, mountain/hill thing, lol)
You see a silhouette of a pokemon (you think) (can be whatever pokemon we want it to be, or fakemon I should say.
You pause for a moment while looking at the silhouette figure.
Then all of a sudden a random person runs into you.
This person can be male/female, also I think this character could be added in at later moments "coincidentally" meeting you during the game.
Basically this person is really sorry and helps you up, and quickly apologizes to you, then running in the original direction instantly, before you can even react.
Leaving you with a sense of....wtf just happened.

One of the pokemons the gym leader uses is one of those that are specially created by Enigma.
So, as you win, the rangers break in the gym, alerting of his true identity. He escapeby using this "artificial" pokemon to spread a huge spores-cloud.
As you and your team have aspired this spores, they are running all through your system, and soon, plants will be growing inside your bodies, killing both you and your pokemons.
So, as a countdown starts, you have to find the cure before you run out of time!
For this, your dad uses his psychic pokemon to teleport you to a secret underground like maze-ruins where an Enigma's lab especially dedicated to grass pokemon investigation is now running. You have to get to the chief and get the medicine, or you will be ancient history!

There're two options:
1) You continue playing as yourself.
2) The hero is put away in quarantine, you get to play as the rival/the opposite-sex hero, which will do anything to save you as you're her long time crush.

After that happens, as the rangers are cleaning up everything in the ruins, they find out that they were also doing some research about some ancient scriptures that could be the key to find out what are the real intentions of the team.

After the Gym, like most people would do, they would head up to the cave looking for a way to the next town. They walk through town and up to the cave entrance, but is stopped by a government agent. He says that they have seen a Ranger go in the cave, and is in the middle of tracking him down.

"Enigma: Hay! Kid! Don't go in there!"
Runs to player.
"Enigma: Don't go in that cave. We got a report from one of our Bounty Hunters that a Ranger had gone in this cave. We are investigating the area as we speak."
Enigma looks around.
"Enigma: You should head back to town for now. It's too dangerous for a kid like you."
Enigma walks you slightly into town.
"Enigma: Remember, don't go in that cave."
Enigma walks away. Suddenly, your rival runs up to you.
"Rival: Hero! There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you! Your dad was spotted by some Bounty Hunters, and ran into the cave on the outskirts of town, and now he's trapped inside! We need to find him and get him out of there before Enigma does! I'm going on ahead. See you in the cave."
Rival runs to cave. Then after you follow him and go in the cave, you look for your dad. When you find your dad and rival, he thanks you.
"Dad: Oh, Hero! You made it! Rival just got here, too! But there's not time to talk, we need to get out of here!"
The screen goes black and you are then in the Ranger base, talking with your dad.
"Dad: Thanks, Hero. I was almost caught. I should have stayed out of site. Now, you've beaten the Cherry Town Gym? Good. Your next destination for a Gym would be *insert town name*"
Then you walk out of the base and you then head to the next town.

Ranger 1: Hero! Congratulations on getting your first badge! However, there is no time to relax. I waited for you to finish your battle to tell you that we have a lead on Enigma and what they might be planning to do next. We need to get back to the base immediately.

*Back at the Ranger Base*

Father: First of all, I want to thank all of you for meeting on such short notice.

Ranger 1: No problem!

Ranger 2: Were happy to hear whatever news you have on Enigma.

Father: Yes, the reason we are here. Well, as you all know, two bounty hunters have recently been giving us a bit of trouble. We have promising evidence that these bounty hunters have been hired by Enigma.

Ranger 3: That seems about right.

Ranger 4: Ya, we should have guessed...

Father: Yes, that part makes sense. However, what doesn't make sense is that we also have reason to believe that the bounty hunters were hired by "Cherry Town Gym Leader".

Rangers 1,2,3, and 4: WHAT!?

Father: Yes, this news is shocking and disturbing. Despite how hard this is to believe, we need to act fast if we want to uncover more leads on Enigma and their plans.

Ranger 1: Well, what can we do?

Father: This is where we need you Hero. Since you have already been targeted by the bounty hunters, you should be able to recognize them and follow them. Also, since you have just received you first gym badge, you should be able to handle "Cherry Town Gym Leader" if you run into him again.

Ranger 2: I agree. I think Hero would be the best suited for this operation.

Father: Hero, we need you to go to Cherry Cave and find the bounty hunters. This is where we believe Enigma will make contact with them again. Of course, we will hide in Cherry Town to supply you with back-up if you need it. Let's move out Rangers!

Updates... Well, no screenshots, but some good news. My good buddy Gvdl bmmzpv tuvqje cjudi is working on a little bit of ASM that will give me the ability to change overworlds, and keep them changed until we go back to change them again. Basically, if you are going to be doing a recon mission, you'll need to change your identity, which you will be able to do in the main Ranger base. I'll give some more info on this later on, and possibly some more info on other ASM things that are happening... *Don't tell anyone, but we may be sorting out a follow script. Don't get your hopes up, but it could be similar to HG/SS's one :D*

I'll give some more info on this later on, and possibly some more info on other ASM things that are happening... *Don't tell anyone, but we may be sorting out a follow script. Don't get your hopes up, but it could be similar to HG/SS's one :D*

AWW MAN!!

I had to work a double shift yesterday and I didnt get on PC in time to finish my plot :(

If it matters, my plot would end up with the Hero going to the Chery Town Cave and chase down one of the bounty hunters that had gotten separated from the other one. Imagine in Shiny Gold in Alzelea Forest when the player has to track down and chase Farfetch'd in order to get the HM Cut...

Finally. On to the voting. I also have to vote for Agrajag's idea. His is thorough, well thought out, and to top it off, VERY original for a Pokemon game. The whole point of this game is originality, and I think he captures that essence very well. Plus, I just love having the freedom to do more than what the plot demands in a game.
