3rd Gen How are IVs inherited?

How are the IVs of bred Pokemon determined? I have a female Lanturn with an HP IV of 30 and I want more :)

The stats of the baby depend partly on the stats of both parents. The baby inherits three Individual Values from its parents. It might inherit its father's Speed and Special Defense and its mother's Defense, or it may inherit its father's Hit Points and mother's Attack and Speed, or any other combination. Sometimes the same stat is inherited twice, causing the baby to inherit only two Individual Values from its parents.

I believe it to be completely random, so if you wish another IV, you're just going to have to keep trying

yes, i'm 98% sure IV's are random. U'll honestly have to just keep trying.
