In Pokemon, the Pokemon do not go against the trainers? The Pokemon have to stop being so submissive at one point. They have strong powers for Arceus's Sake! Crikeys! Say...If I was an Oddish. A weak and common Pokemon. Say some rookie trainer with no Pokemon came up to me. Why couldn't I absorb him and make him weak. Why couldn;t I take all his energy and call my Oddish friends to finish him?

Don't say it is because it is a kids show. Lets be realistic people!!!

Well, it is a kid's show tbh, lol.

But in Pokemon realism, I imagine the Pokemon tries to get to the Trainer, but the Trainer's Pokemon stops it by blocking the path and forcing the Pokemon to fight instead. That's why it's dangerous to go where Pokemon are without a tamed one yourself; the Pokemon will attack you.

As for why tamed Pokemon follow you? Most people seem to think that there's something about the Poke Ball that tames a Pokemon and makes it somewhat friendlier towards you, similar to a Styler in Pokemon Ranger. Pokemon could easily kill Trainers in their world, but because of Poke Balls and tamed Pokemon it doesn't quite work that way.

Pokemon don't attack humans for any apparent reason unless it's for protection or out of fear (to add to what Toujours said).
