    Hey guys,

I'm a regular on the forums, but every time I see the Pokemon TCG section, I don't go in, because I don't know how I could get into Pokemon TCG. Any suggestions?

Thanks, guys! Those are good suggestions!

I learned to play with a trainer kit. I felt that was a pretty nice way to start. From a collecting POV, I saw a few cards and was consumed by desire to "catch them all", as the marketing slogan goes, so that pretty much took care of itself. Look for local tourneys or friends that you can bring to the fold... yep, I'm out of advice!

If you're ready to hop right in, maybe buy a theme deck and look for a local pokemon league. I know with the league local to me, there's an option of learning how to play the game with a more experienced player. They tend to have very difficult to beat decks & strategies, but it's all a learning experience. Most importantly, just have fun with it.

The main issue is that most of the theme decks are terrible when compared to decks at leagues, though.

No doubt, but it's a pretty good start versus buying a bunch of packs, and finding you don't have enough energy, IMO.

OP - As you can probably tell, there's no "right" way of doing it. Do whatever makes most sense to you, and go with it! Best of luck.
