How do I get Shinies?

Please, someone help me with getting shinies. I've tried the Pokeradar, and even when the grass shines, I get nothing of value, nor a shiny. Help me please!

theres like a 1:1,000,000 chance of running into a shiny. theres no predicting it or making show up.

Yeah, I got a Shiny Voltorb in Ruby, but thats all. I've used the Pokeradar, but even when the graa seem to turn shiny, nothing shiny is there. Maybe I'm just unlucky.

there is a way to get a Shiny pokemon.

when searching for a shiny pokemon all you got to do i walk around the area said pokemon is in.for example. is you were to get a Shiny Steelix. all you gots to do is eep walking till it appears. it takes a while but its worth it

I know thats false but it always seems that when i play if i find a wild shiny early on I'll get a bunch

interesting. the only shiny I myself found, was combee, and gible [hatched]

yeah like my pearl both times i restarted it 1st time i had over 200 hours with no shiny, 2nd time i had a shiny within 10mins and went on to find 2 more within 3 days

To get any shiny pokemon at any time, the chance of getting one is 1/8192 with or without a radar. However, people thinks it is a lot easier by using the radar. In my opinion, I think it's easier but if you want to keep the chain going longer it is best using Repels and once you chain, it is best going for the furthest one as possible.

the pokeradar is the best way to find shinies but you can also *no-one say this is wrong* rotate in one spot, that gives you a slightly higher chance, not much though...
