5th Gen How do I know if this is hacked?

Ok, so my aunt gave me a DS, I bought the charger, so I can finally buy 4th-5th Gen games. I bought a used Pokemon White and a new Pokemon Soul Silver with a Pokewalker and everything, so I decided to try White first cause my cousin is here and he has black so I wanted to start it so we could trade and stuff. When I started it up, it said the play time was like 100 and something hours, so I checked his bank and etc. He had a ton of pokemon, a lot of good ones, and according to my cousin (Pokemon know-it-all lol), a lot of pokemon that you can't even get in those games or that you can't get without an event. He didn't have an Arceus or anything, but he had 2 Mews, 2 Mewtwo's, a bunch of Suicune's, Raikou's, and Entei's. Victini, Celebi, and all those other legendary/rare pokemon. My cousin suggested I trade some of those over to him since I didn't want to play on a hacked game. So I want to know if there is any other way to find out if it's hacked or not, for all I know this guy could've been a super-fan and went to every event and etc. Most of his pokemon aren't level 100, most are within the 50-70 range and his inventory pokemon are all in the 80's except Forretress which is level 43. He doesn't have that many items (which would help in the case that he had like 50 master balls I'd know it was a hack). So how would I know if it is a hack or not? I don't want to make a huge mistake and not keep some if they are legit.

It's not hacked. It is made by Nintendo and Gamefreak together with the PKMN company. These are not hacks, if that game is a hack, then everybody will ask the creator to be the scripter :P

I think he means the Pokémon saved on it, not the game itself.

In answer to your question, it is possible that your mystery person went to every single event and got them - have a look at the OT (original trainer) field in one of the Pokémon's stats and see if it match to any of the event Pokémon given out (search for 'event pokémon' on google). Bear in mind that some event Pokémon are given out with the trainer's ID number instead of an event code, so check more than one.

Now if they do turn out to be code-generation Pokémon, unless the stats or movesets have been altered to make them stronger than they should be then shouldn't be anything adversely wrong with these sorts of Pokémon, and you can use them in-game fairly and without any problems. All they will be is shiny versions or whatever, but still the same Pokémon as any of the rest of them. It's really down to personal preference and if you're morally against it or not. Personally, I would trade them all off just in case and examine them at a later date, but again that's just me. :)

Match up those rare legendaries to Pokemon event databases: Serebii or Bulbapedia

There's numerous opportunities to obtain these species as either official events or caught wild in-game. You'll have to do some research to determine if they are hacked or not. Here's some guidelines indicating that they are at least not blatantly hacked:

Mewtwo: 'Kanto after a long travel through time' or simply 'Johto'
Mew: Must match event OT unless if Japanese 'Hoenn after a long travel through time'
Raikou, Suicune, Entei: 'Kanto after a long travel through time' or 'Johto' or may be an event OT
Victini: Either 'Pokemon Movie 11' or caught wild from 'Liberty Garden'
Celebi: Must match event OT

Anything caught at, say Route 1, isn't a good thing. :P

If you're still unsure about the Pokemon, consider posting in the PokéCommunity's Official "Check My Pokémon" Thread. Although there isn't a perfect method of hack-checking Pokemon in Black/White, you should be able weed out any blatant, illegal Pokemon. Hacked Pokemon shouldn't ruin/crash your game either.

I think you can try putting them on the GTS and if it works they're not hacked. I'm not certain though.

It's not hacked but it does sound a bit hacked with the masterballs because I don't think you can let pokemon carry items with you when your trading or puting it in to the black and white games because they would have to be removed. But I think it's not but be a bit careful because it can fool you.
