how do I make my own custom trainer cards myself

I'm afraid you're not allowed to make a thread if you're not going to either showcase Trainer Cards or open a T-Card shop.
As for your query, we do have a Supplies thread which contains all you need to make a good T-Card, try looking there. And most people just use paint to put all their bits together and make a T-Card, just incase you're wondering what program to use. Hope that helps. :)
