How do i make these texts transparent?

    Hello!

    I've seen this battle HUD in Pokemon Clover and i would like to know how did they make it:

    I made the whole HUD transparent (just to test) and this is what happens

    What i want to do is to erase the black box around the letters in the battle HUD.
    I've tried editing the small font file in 1EEF10 and erasing the square around the letter but it didn't work
    Any help? :D

    EDIT:

    Trying to replicate it, i've noticed that the enemy's HUD doesn't fit to the far left side of the screen.

    How can i move the whole enemy's hud or readjust it's size?
