how do I move threads

is there a way to move posts because a few days ago I didnt know what the simple questions thread was for so I just post it as a thread and then someone replies saying what the simple questions thread was and so i realize I've done something stupid please tell me how if there is a way

The only way for a member to "move" posts is just to repost things in the right place.

Otherwise, the only way to actually move posts is to PM a staff member about it/them - either the mod(s) of that forum, or a higher staff member - and see if they wouldn't mind moving it for you (though it may or may not be done, depending on what the thread is).
