How do we find our TRUE inner pokemon?

    This is something I've been trying to do for years, without success...
    Yes, YEARS...
    I wish I'd asked for help a LONG time ago...
    I really would like to know my inner pokemon, & I figured you guys would like to know too... (which is WHY I should've asked...)

    Anyways, here is what I figure our TRUE inner pokemon is like:

    1. We can be ANY of the non-legends, with the possible exception of Latias, Latios, Manaphy, the legendary dogs & others that apparently can be in multiples... NEVER the 1-of-a-kind pokemon, like Mewtwo, Mew, Regigigas, Etc. (The ONLY exception is Satoshi, the creator of pokemon, because of being the creator, he'd automatically be Arceus. & he would decide which people are the 1-of-a-kind pokemons.)

    2. Our inner pokemon, of course, plays to our strengths & life-styles.

    3. Our inner pokemon may not share similar apperances to us... if this was the case, none of us would be the non-human-like pokemons, & I feel that we can be any of the non-legends, even Magnemite & it's evos. (With the possiblity of the legends that seems to be able to breed...)
    Remember, EVERY human being is unique, which is why I'm sure that somewhere in the world, is a person whom inner pokemon so happens to be Magnemite & it's evos. (A person with a very magnetic personality? This is a pun I intended to be more serious than funny...)

    I have multiple ideas of how to find our inner pokemon based on the guidelines above, & here they are...which should we use?:

    1. Going though each individual pokemon?
    This would take a VERY long time, but this may work, since going though each pokemon may show us the pokemon that best suit our life-styles & strengths without a doubt.

    2. Determining our types first?
    This method is determining our types first to find our inner pokemon.
    the way I'd do this:
    Quiz myself, to see why or why not I'd be 1 (or 2, if you give yourself an equal score between 2 types.) of the 17 types. Then when I'm done quizzing myself, I narrow down my choices based on my type(s). With this method, I have determined myself to be the Electric/Fighting type, but there are no Electric/Fighting pokemon right now... this is a example of the flaw of this method... people may end up a type combo that currently doesn't exist...

    3. Picking 1 out of our Favorites?
    This is based on a theory I just made that states that our favorites is our favorite BECAUSE they reflect our pesonalities, even when we don't conciously know it yet. This may not work for everone... the people I have in mind for this are those who prefer the very legends that I believe cannot reflect our personalities for being absolutly unique. (It wouldn't be right that only 1 out of about 80 million can be a pokemon like Rayquaza, of whom I figure is 1-of-a-kind, so none of us will be, except the creator, Satoshi, of whom is automatically Arceus, & therefore is the only 1 with the right to determine which person is which 1-of-a-kind pokemon. Just trying to be fair...)

    Ok, there are these ideas, & the ideas that other will comes up with...

    So, how should we find our TRUE inner pokemon?

    I think number 1/ would be pretty accurate, but will indeed, be time consuming.

    I think the best way to find your inner Pokemon is to think of your favorite. It's your favorite for a reason, you like it's looks, style, type, personality, etc.

    This is a cool theory, I'll keep an eye on here(:

    Best way to find your inner pokemon, in my opinoin, would be first to sit down and think, think hard. Just brainstorm about your best qualities, maybe ask others what stands out about you, etc. You wouldn't then try to think of a pokemon that is exactly like you, but think if you were a pokemon, with these qualities of yours, how would you behave, what would you look like, etc.

    I like to look at it like translating a language. You can't directly translate everything, and you definitely won't know every word/phrase that there is, but from what you know you have to think of the best way to explain it in the language you're translating to. This may sound stupid, butttt....it works for me. :laugh:

    Remember that types don't have personalities, Pokemon do. Would. Whatever.
    Pokemon of a shared type simply tend to share qualities. And if fan fiction has taught me anything, it's that Pokemon don't necessarily share personalities. Just share a tendency to a given personality.

    If I really wanted to find out what Pokemon am I for real, I'd just look back at some events of my time...
    I moved from my old school and my parents broke up and ever since I turned from the leader into the lead one... (Tauros for their fights to be the best)
    I have a younger brother and a big family still alive (Wartortle - Longevity).
    I really love Fire/Fighting types (Infernape/Blaziken).
    Also, I'm only 11 but I'm taller than a person which is 13 (hmm... tall Pokemon ... Machamp)
    Overall, for a combination, I'd say ... Hitmonchan.
    He has moves of all kinds and always struggles to be the best of his crowd. Just like me.
    Alternatives : Wartortle, Blaziken.

    Phew ! It took me quite awhile to cook that up ! ;) I'll keep an eye on this thread.
     
    Kabutops is my favorite Pokemon, and I would see myself as Water, Rock, or Psychic, but I don't see myself as a Slowking or Starmie, and there's no Psychic Rock type. Water/Rock it is.

    A single thought was pulsing through my head as I read through the head: personality types should play a role here. I'm not talking about who's an ENTP or an INTJ or anything; I mean, if I had to give myself an epitaph, would I be Rekky the trickster or Rekky the compassionate? I've always looked upon Meowth as a mischievous Pokemon and Chansey to be utterly caring about other beings, so that could help narrow it down.

    Solrock & Lunatone are Rock/Psychic.
    & Corsola is indeed a Water/Rock type, along with Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte, Omastar & Relicanth.

    @ everyone:
    You guys have good ideas, & I got 1 myself that I remembered eariler today:
    Pick the pokemon you'd be for each type, then chose the 1 out of those 17. This would be MUCH easier than just going though all pokemon at once.
     
    To be entirely honest with you, I think that as much as we ally ourselves with a certain Pokémon it doesn't really hide the fact that they don't exist. They were created by a team of dudes in Japan looking to simulate bug-catching for city kids. Some people believe we all have "spirit animals" which may be true, but 'true Pokémon'? No, not likely. Unless we have an otherkin in our midst? No? Anybody?

    That said, for some inexplicable reason, I am partial to Murkrows.

    as for favorite types... Its hard to pick because i like certain pokemon of the types...

    favorite pokemon of mine are:

    my first team,
    gardevoir/gallade
    spinda



    I will say im a swampert because its great at phisical damage and swimming and is resistant to most types and no torchic wa my first pokemon so dont think i chose it for that reason.
     
    i have no idea what i would be. Im somewhat intelligent, i am sort of weird, i like to have fun, im not very mature. sounds like a monkey. sooo... Monferno? Not Infernape. I hate infernape and hate Chimchar but i love Monferno. So, maybe Monferno. also, im year of the monkey. but i like bug types. and steel types. but not both. Scizor, Forretress, and Wormadam just dont cut it. I do love vespiquen though. and Steelix. Aah, enough rambling, ill just be a ditto, and be them all :) actually, Porygon-Z is perfect. So Porygon-Z it is.
     
    I developed a list of types, decided my personality, and searched through every single Pokemon. I am Parasect. I don't have much control, and I have o say in things, nobody wants to hear my suggestions. Additionaly, Parasect matched with one of my types: Grass.

    I would say I'm a Sceptile. Quiet, hardy, yet strong. And sometimes my not so depressed moments!
