How do you choose a book?

I always check a book out because I see the cover. If it's cool, I'll read the summary on the back. Of course, the only things that are books, that I read mostly are manga. But sometimes the books are flipped over so I see the back summary, and the sub-title thingy catches my eye. Like this one series I can't remember. But the title on the back was 'Stripping Elves-But for a good reason'. I was hooked. And when I read BOOKS I usually pick one that's popular, like Harry Potter, or one with a catchy title. Well good title, I should say. Eye-catching title! There.

You know those reviews inside the book, from like newpapers and magazines? I read those and the summary. And I look to see a pretty cover XP.

Read the summary and read a few pages.

I normally pick it up if someone I know has read it and mentioned it. Otherwise I tend not to try new books. o.o; I guess I'd read the back and maybe a page or two before deciding, though, since you can't tell if a book is good only by the back; the author has to have an appealing writing style too.

If I've read something by the author, then it's much easier for me to read the same author than it is to branch out to different people.

First, I tend to read books that I've heard are good. And then, I usually read the summary. If they're good, then I'll go ahead and read it. ^^;
