    Ok,

Some month ago i got an Infraction for quoting in a section where you arent allowed to quote unless you're the thread starter, ofcourse ive read the rules for all the sections, but there are so many individual rules for some sections that its impossible to remember them all, so im just saying that it seems kinda unfair that i got an Infraction!

If you are going to actively participate in a particular section, then it is in your best interest to review the section's rules. Most rules are common sense and common courtesy. The newbie, not you, should interact with others in an introduction thread. Hijacking is quite rude.

In addition, it is best to consult with the staff member who issued the infraction. If you did read the section's rules, ask for the section's staff team to clarify the rules so others do not repeat your mistake. ^^

Fyi, infractions issue points, warnings do not.

First, it wasn't an infraction, it was a warning. I do not typically give a member who doesn't regularly frequent my board an infraction upon breaking a rule that's only located there for the first time. That's why it was a warning, so that you'd know for the next time you were in NU/W.

Secondly, there is no rule against quoting in NU/W. The rule you're referring to is the rule against posting more than once if you're not the original author of the thread. The rule has a very valid reason for being there. When other members are allowed to post more than once, the thread quickly goes faaaaar off topic... leaving a lot of cleaning up for Drew and I to do.

Every board has its own set of individual rules that have been personally tailored for it from trial and error. There might be a lot of rules if you add it all up, but chances are most of them are needed in order to keep the community running smoothly.

    That's weird, that's one rule I didn't know.

Well most rules are common knowledge. You should just know them.
The few rules that aren't common sense should be remembered easily.
If not, just read the rules over.
