    Do you report posts / threads? If so, where? If not, why? And, does it affect you if nothing is done regarding your report or do you just forget you reported in the first place? Do you have a special style of reporting? Like, linking, tl;dring, etc.

    I tend to report in sections I pretty much know the rules of. I see other threads which I think are duplicates but I'm just not confident enough on the rules to report there. But yeah I tend to report mostly in B/W. When nothing is done about my reports I try to forget about it, since really it is up to the staff in the end. And I include links in all my duplicate reports.

    You and I have quite a bit in common. I report misplaced/spam/dupe threads in the areas I've posted the most in, because I know the rules. I just try to point out what needs pointing, and let the mods do the rest. Occasionally I get antsy and minimod, though.

    i report threads that are in the wrong section or i know are breaking the rules. sometimes if i am iffy on if it is breaking the rules i will still report it . most of the time its in hg/ss when people are just asking quick questions or asking for trades.
    i sometimes have a hard time writing a report because i dont know what to say in it. :/ i like to keep an eye out to see if threads i reported are still open or were closed and like to see what the mod put when closing it. just to see if they closed it for the same reason that i reported it.

    im almost always report in the trade center, like i report the threads that dont have 10 pokes, etc, and the others that i know break the rules. and they usually get taken care of quickly, aurafire, TB, erik destler and horizon do a good job of keeping that place running. :)

    I report things that I'm confident are breaking the rules, and I generally don't link duplicates since I only report those if both threads are visible on the first page. (it's an easy mistake for a newb to make if the other thread isn't on page one, but if a similar topic is on the front page of the section, there's not an excuse)

    I don't specifically have a style of reporting unless you consider my style to simply be as brief and to the point as possible in my reports. Most of my reports essentially sum up which of the Core PC rules I feel the thread breaks. I don't specifically report for violations of the rules of that section often because I often feel that the individual rules for the section are better left for the regular visitors of that section to report on when they're broken.

    Despite the fact that I occasionally report often enough to be considered as "trying too hard" this is not the case. I generally don't feel a need to be recruited for staff, I report merely out of a sincere wish to help the staff better do their job. This sincere wish obviously extends to anything I say to staff regarding PC, be it positive or negative. They may not always agree with me but the staff does a good job so I'm not as concerned as I used to be.

    Mostly browsing around the Game Dev sections, I report a lot of the newbs on there who bump threads or think they're hacks. For most other things I'll just go straight to the top and PM Rukario. It seems to work fine.

    I usually report stuff in OC/OVP. But sometimes I get a bit... scared and don't report because I'm scared of reporting wrong. xD; I try my best though. :X

    On a different site I'm on, people report stories just for fun even if they don't have anything wrong with them. So people will end up with lists of reports and it kind of ticks them off, and that's the point. :/ Here, I wouldn't report anything unless I was sure it broke the rules.

    Plus I kind of feel bad when I report ^^;

    I havebt reported anything in the last 2 years :>. I feel reporting is essential to the community to get things running but still I think that hey someone probably has already reported this I rather not contiously fill up there report box xD. Its just me and they way I think cuz I know this has the job of a staff member can be fun but it also is a lot of time and work put into make this community as awesome as it is...

    I generally only seem to report useless spam posts.

    Like 'that really helped me alot' without any reference to what/who helped them and usually just randomly said through threads, sometimes same person multiple times or just other general spam.

    I haven't seen many people do other things wrong.

    EDIT: oh and duplicate threads that are easy to spot.

    I've never touched the report button before, even if a post is breaking the rules. I feel that the staff does their job just fine, and if they do miss a post that's breaking the rules, then another member would have already reported it before I did. Besides, even if reporting does help the staff, I'd feel bad. ^^;

    Report. In my sections. Please. I love you. :| I love getting reports, like. No joke. Seriously. I love signing on and seeing reports. It means I get to do things! :D

    I still report too. Stuff that's not in my sections, I mean. It really helps us staff members, because no matter how omnipresent we seem to be, we don't catch everything that goes on.

    D'aww, I love you too Syd. :P

    I mainly report pointless spam posts, threads that have no real purpose, and threads in the wrong place/duplicate threads.

    I don't know if I'm unique in doing this, but I tend to use a very...sarcastically jolly tone when I report things. Anything to brighten the day of the staff member that has to read it. XD

    I like short, to the point reports. I don't feel the need to go into detail if the potentially offending post/thread is self explanatory.

    Still, no harm in going into detail, or reporting even when you're not 100% sure something's wrong either. Help is always appreciated.

    Yes, I do use the report button. I report... well, stuff that breaks rules. Mostly spam threads or threads that need to be moved. Lately I've been getting lazy, though. That might be more that I stay in OVP and it's pretty well-modded, so there's nothing to report. Or it might be because I'm lazy. XD

    If my report doesn't seem to be taken care of, I chalk it up to the mod disagreeing with me, which happens. Just makes me glad I didn't have to make the call.

    Reporting's cool, I guess. I didn't know there was a special style for reporting, but I do do my fair share of reporting in other areas outside of Other Voting Polls and Other Entertainment. I can't say I go hunting for threads to report, though.

    No. I don't report posts or threads. That's the Mod's job.
    The moderator's job isn't to report threads and posts, but to deal with reports for them. We don't go around looking for threads and posts that break the rules. For most of us, we either stumble upon it or someone else does. We're only one person to a forum. We need some help from members. That kind of attitude you have is really rather ignorant.

    I've started reporting for a moment, but then stopped. It's either that I knew someone else had already reported it, or it's already been fixed.

    I once report in all the sections I go to. Nowadays, I tend to only report in the HG/SS section. :) After all, two Moderators in an active sections need as much help as they can get.

    I report anything that doesn't belong in the forum section that I'm viewing or is considered spam. But, sometimes I make mistakes and report the wrong thing, which makes me feel bad D:
