5th Gen How do you feel about the amount of version differences?

I feel good about the version differences myself. Before the main version differences were just the Pokemon. Now it's gone as far as a city existing in both games looking different depending on your version. That to me makes version differences much better. :3

It sucks. T_T
I've pre-ordered black. so I won't be getting that awesome vileplume like pokemon.

You can still get it, as an NPC requests a trade : Monmen for Churine in Black, Churine for Monmen in White.
You still have a chance to get Doreida.. ^^;

i don't mind the differences.
i'm getting white and my bro is getting black. and as soon as hes done with the main story he never touches it so i get it.
so i'm not that worried about not getting Pokemon.
 
I think most everything has already been stated. For me, the huge differences means two epic storylines. Epic mans fun...usually. Can't wait to get the games. Very disappointed that Wargle is white exclusive. Oh well, that helps narrow down my Black team.
 
I'm perfectly fine with every version exclusive thing revealed so far except one... THE VULTURE IS ACTUALLY EXCLUSIVE TO BLACK!? I was SO excited to have one in my team, too!! Ah, well.... u_u But besides that, I love the White Forest and Black City differences. White Forest looks WAY better. :3

...U_U I really wanted that vulture.
 
Honestly, I was hoping for more WE areas, but oh well... and I think the pokemon are pretty balanced.
 
Wargle, Rankurusu and Zekrom all in White. What else do you want?

Umm... Yes it is...

Black has Erufuun, Gochiruzeru, Barujiina, Torunerosu, and Reshiram
White has Doreida, Rankurusu, Wargle, Borutorosu, and Zekrom

I think Borutorosu and Torunerosu should have been switched... We have a Elec/Flying and Dragon/Elec Legend Exclusive...

But yes obviously us White players get Wargle...

It's terrible, ain't it? I loved that vulture... T_T

But hey... I don't see the anteater, the steel ant, and many other of the exclusives that were shown in that pic... Does that mean they aren't exclusives? Cuz I think the anteater can make up for the absence of the vulture. :3

Well, I won't mind the final gym leader exclusives if the two use different dragon Pokemon or a different combination (say, Shaga gets a Kurimugan and two Ononokusu instead of just one), but if both Shaga and Iris are going to use the same exact Pokemon, yeah it seems unnecessary, unless you prefer to battle one over the other I guess.

Other than that, liking what's going on with the version exclusives so far from what I heard. Seems to me though you won't really miss too much if you just have one of the games. For instance, to me White Forest and Black City doesn't have too much difference except for White Forest having wild Pokemon (from what I heard). Both places look really nice, though. XD

The anteater and the steel ant are not version exclusives - I'm playing white and they both appear in Victory Road.

I'm so glad that I bought White. The exclusive Pokemons are all my cup of tea instead of Black.

Juuuust a note; this thread isn't for discussing what version exclusive Pokemon you want - but all the version exclusives as a whole (including Black City/White Forest etc)~
 
For 3rd gen and 4th gen both I managed to only get one version and then 'borrow' my nephew's or cousin's copies... I still have 3 or 4 carts that don't technically belong to me, but they don't miss them and I can always give them back. Although I found out my cousin sold his Platinum and SS due to hospital bills, so I'm SOL there...

Having actual new content between both versions makes it easier to justify buying both instead of waiting for my family relations to get bored with theirs. I think JP said something to that effect.
 
I like the sounds of Black City better. It sounds really cool and active!

I dont mind the pokemon version exclusives. Some of them I was expecting.
 
I really love White so far - the Pokemon here seems so much better ;3 And there's Iris, whom I like so much more as a gym leader.
It's really mean but I dislike Rankurusu's counterpart exclusive. It's so... ugly, buh.

I might consider getting White again for the English version. Unless my brother wants White, yo.

This to me, is ridiculous, as I'm not one to ever buy both games(that's like, $90), and with this they're thinking that it will force me to.
Well, unfortunately, the only thing it will force me to do is make my decision harder on which one to get.

Well, Shaga and Iris (the different 8th gym leaders) use the same Pokemon, so no differences really there. Also, I heard Black City and White Forest aren't too different either. You won't miss much if you just have one of the games.

If what you say is true, then I'm more relaxed.

But again, if so, then it was stupid to separate them if they are as similar as you say.
To trick 'em kids into buying 2 copies.

Look wise. Music wise, Dark City takes the cake. XD White Forest's music is immensely boring.. I was disappointed. ;;

I'm really not sure if Black or White is better in version exclusives. I think White wins over Black in terms of Pokemon that are exclusive. Black wins music wise.. it's music is just better. XD;

Wait, so there are music and cutscene exclusives between the games? I already knew about the graphics/gym leaders.

That rocks!

Anyway, this is an easy decision for me. When I went to the Toys R Us (I reside in Japan), they were sold out of Black, so I bought White. When the US versions come out, I will buy Black. Nuff said.
