Survey: How do YOU make a hack?

Music hacking and scripting are my forte, but I can never find the motivation to do either of them. Although, it is fun to create identical scripts (syntax aside) in PKSV and XSE, especially with the custom movement header file for the latter. My mismatched pages of rambling notes do little to help either.

The thing that attracts the most attention? GRAPHICS. I suggest learning how to insert new tiles from Le Pug's tutorial on youtube ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40A-YOuNfV8 ) Everyone's tired of the default tiles XD. scripting can be learned, but making things look new makes the hack unique.

My fort are the maps.

My way of working is as follows:
Map somewhere.
Add scripts.
I check it.
Fix bugs.
Add extras.
Fix bugs again.
Next!

I think it's the best and the most orderly, never move to the next area without finishing all this.
