How do you make boards visible on Invisionfree?

Perhaps you didn't edit the options for them to be visible to everyone? I generally only use Proboards, but there should be a box to edit viewing and posting permissions when you make the board or edit it.

Go to the Manage Forums and click Edit Permissions or Permissions. Whatever it was called. Anyways, You'll have to check the box where it says Read on the Admin, Validating, Guest, and Member boxes.

Or you could just not use any of the crappy free hosted boards and use MyBB or phpBB or something like that?

Proboards is even worse than InvisionFree, btw.

Yeah not really. I don't like it when people insult IF. I use IF for my forums and it works really good. And to answer your question if you PM me the url to your board and let me into the Admin CP. I'll look aroud and see if I can help you fix it.

I've worked on IF for years. This is what you need to do:

Inthe ACP, go to --> Manage Forums --> Look for the name of the catagory. Next to it thee is an edit, then a delete button. Click the Edit button. --> The first thing you'll see is the name of the catagory. Next you'll see a dropdown box. Click on the box and select "Visible." --> Click Anend this category.

That should do it. Refresh the forum's index and it should show. If it does not, your permissions are wrong.

IPB's permissions are weird - it doesn't default to show to anyone, you have to explictly set that.

So really, make sure you got it. :x

*had the same problem wayyyyyyyyyyyy back when*

i used motionsforum [edited for forum advertising]
