[Legends: Arceus] How do you register Weavile in the pokedex after catching it????

When you catch a pokemon, is it possible for the game to completely ignore the capture and prevent its pokedex entry from being filled?
I spent so long waiting for a S-T distortion and caught a weavile but cannot get its entry. Please help me

Just to double check, did you speak with the Professor after catching Weavile to report the entry? It still didn't show up after that?

As mentioned by Sheep, we are now in an era where we don't have technologies as advanced, so you'll have to report to the professor to get your Pokédex updated properly, it is like adding "sheets" of conclusion of your reports to it. Nice touch I'd say!
