How do you remember the Advanced Generation?

    The Advanced Generation is probably the most forgotten series on this particular forum since most people here love the Original series and the Diamond and Pearl series is currently airing. The American seasons from Pokémon: Advanced thru Pokémon: Battle Frontier. At this point, Misty was removed from the series, May and Max were added to the cast, and Ash and Brock were given new clothes. Other events were Ash defeating the Battle Frontier and 4Kids Entertainment losing the rights to the animé.

    So this is a list thread in actuality and most of you like those kinds of threads. How do you remember seasons 5 - 9?
     
    I don't, I completely forgot. Since they removed Misty, I watched it less. Misty had personality that turned goat pee into gasoline.
     
    I've only watched seasons 1-8 on purpose because I hate the new voice cast. However, occsionally I watch episodes from season 9 and Diamond and Pearl, and I feel a little disappointed in them. I loved the original series and really liked the advanced Generation up till season 9. I know I'll eventually watch all of season 9, because reading reviews on how it end and watching a few episodes isn't the same. The Advanced Generation is not worse than the other generations. It contains some of the same elements, and introduces some of its own. It's a shame the voice cast changed before it was over.
     
    ooooooo I'm unbeatable, Pokemon......advance battle! I wish they would air more of the 1st and 2nd series on t.v though. I really like them both. But probably most people don't like it because they don't like hoenn just because of the games (many people expected to have three generations inside of the games)

    I do. The early Pokemon episodes were the best. I didn't like how they romoved Misty from the series, she made every episode better. Pikachu has also changed alot too, his personality was alot cuter in the early ones.
    I hope they Bring Misty back!
     
    8 and 9 are by far my favorite series, even with the new voices. The Hoenn arc was great too, the writers finally got rid of the stupid red-head chick and brought in May. I remember the Advance Generation much better then I remember Johto or Kanto.
     
    The Battle Frontier was the best story arc of the Advanced Generation imo. Ash battled with some of his old pokemon again, like Charizard and Heracross. I really liked the Charizard vs Articuno fight as well as the Pikachu vs Regice fight. Plus, Ash being possessed was kinda cool too.
     
    It was alright I didn't really enjoy Advanced and Advanced Challenge. Just Advanced Battle and Battle Frontier.
     
    They were actually sort of my favorites... now that I look back on the old eps tho... I've kinda grown to like them more, but I was into it the most during Advanced Battle.

    This pretty much sums it up for me. After Misty left, I quit Pokemon, honestly. It wasn't really worth watching anymore...

    Then I got back into it near the beginning of D/P: Battle Dimension in the US. ;o
     
    I don't remember much because Johto put me off watching the anime for years after XD I stopped around Johto League Champions, and sort of started watching again around Advanced Battle. I remember finding May and her contests really interesting, although I was confused what they were supposed to be about at first. I remember finding the Aqua/Magma stuff quite interesting because it was different from the usual storylines I was used to and hadn't played RSE. I remember finding Harley hilarious because he was so different from the usual Pokemon characters XD I actually didn't mind Max, although a lot of people seem to hate him. So really, I quite liked the few episodes I seen of it because it was different from how I remembered the anime when I stopped watching.
     
    i remembered. and i still say that they should let max have another chance
     
    How I remember it?

    I remember it as best darn series...Ever. No really, I consider it the best. Why?

    Shipping reasons May is my favourite character. Therefore, everything she's in, is epic. The Pokemon were also awesome, the openings and endings were epic (Japanese wise), the intro to contests were unforgettable...

    The awesome opening song, I think I disliked then liked all songs from the series after and the series in topic from then on. Odd. I dislike the DP ones though.
     
    I haven't even seen all of the Advanced Generation yet, I stopped watching the anime when I was little a bit before Misty left. Now I'm in the middle of Advanced Challenge and making my way up. I actually really love it! I really like May so she made the fact that I miss Misty a little more bearable. Max, he's okay. So far what I've seen has been pretty good and I'm looking forward to Advanced Battle and the Battle Frontier ones. (The only thing I'm not looking forward to are the voice changes. Oh Eric Stuart how I'll miss you... but I won't complain about that since pretty much everyone does.)

    Oh and my very first Pokemon game was Ruby (I was a poor child and never could afford a Game Boy when I was little), so it's hard for me to forget Hoenn in that way, even before I'd seen any of the Advanced Generation episodes. :P
     
    Actually, when I went through my big pokemon phase (had liked it before, but it got stronger around this time), the advanced gen was airing. I have good memories with my friends from those seasons. I really liked it, and loved the opening songs lol. Of course like many, I wanted Misty back, but at least there were a few episodes with her in it. The only other thing I don't like is how they changed pikachu, he used to be so much cuter
     
    I never really watched much of it. I think I started watching right about the end of Advanced Battle.
