I'm writing a piece on Pokémon Go, it's players and their insight on this fascinating game. So, any feedback is welcome! I'd love to hear from anyone who's willing to share their experiences. I have a few questions I thought would be pertinent and I'll list them below. If you feel more comfortable emailing me directly with your answers feel free to reach me here: [email protected]

    Here are the questions:

What is your age and where are you from? (state / country is fine)
    1. How often do you play Pokémon Go?
    2. What got you into playing Pokémon Go?
    3. What are your favorite things about the game?
    4. What are your least favorite things about the game?
    5. How do you see the game evolving?

Thanks so much for reading this and I hope to hear from you!!

    Every day. Mostly at night.
IDK I hadn't even heard of the game until it came out, thought it was stupid at first but decided to download it anyway.
    Eggs
    Tracking System
Probably a better track system, trading, battling, being able to level up Pokemon by battling and not stardust.

What is your age and where are you from?
    22, England

How often do you play Pokémon Go?
Every day! Anywhere between 30 minutes to a few hours depending on how I'm feeling or how busy the day is.

What got you into playing Pokémon Go?
I'm a huge Pokémon nerd and have been heavily involved in the franchise since the early days back in Gen 1 so I'll play basically any new game that comes out. GO was a very interesting new take on the Pokémon series so I was very excited to start playing.

What are your favorite things about the game?
Probably poking the Pokémon in their status pages! I love the community feel of the game and how it's done some great things for a lot of people (especially people who're reconnecting with friends and family over something as simple as catching Pokémon together outside) but seeing those cute animations when you tap on the Pokémon is just wonderful ♥

What are your least favorite things about the game?
The tracking system and the mentality that some players seem to get when playing. The tracking system issue obviously speaks for itself so I don't need to go into that, but what does make the game less fun for me is how a lot of players act around gyms. Gym sniping (waiting to take control of a gym as soon as it's defeated so the person fighting it can't take it) and generally loitering around gym locations in order to deter people from coming to challenge it are really crappy behaviours but they're happening a lot and it's very off-putting to bother trying to fight the gyms half of the time because of it. This is one thing I'm thankful to not live in a city for because I can only imagine the problem is 500x worse there.

How do you see the game evolving?
Lots more species of Pokémon will be added, trading and player battling should become features of the game, an updated tracking system, more interesting ways to use PokéStops (new types of lures), Pokémon breeding, legendary events... I think there's a lot left to come from this deceptively simple game!

    Hope that helps!

What is your age and where are you from? (state / country is fine)
27 and from South West England

How often do you play Pokémon Go?
3-4 hours a day, pretty much whenever i leave the house and go anywhere

What got you into playing Pokémon Go?
The trailer looked exactly like the pokemon game i had wanted since i first played Blue in the mid 90's

What are your favorite things about the game?
Catching or Hatching a pokemon i need whether its for pokedex/evolution/moveset

What are your least favorite things about the game?
Getting a little frustating when its harder to get anything new, hopefully new updates will improve this

How do you see the game evolving?
Where to begin, there are so many things in the pipeline.
New generations are probably my #1 wish, since im always looking at building my top 6 my worry is that by the time we get to later generations then i wont be interested enough in most the new ones as i will have already maxed out a load of strong pokemon from earlier generations that new ones wont make my top 6
Breeding will be really useful, i can see Omastar and Kabutops being really tough to get without breeding Omanytes and kabutos for eggs
Pokemon centres are really needed especially when PvP battles come in.
Strong Dark/Bug/Electric/Grass pokemon - right now in most my local gyms are vaporeons and hypnos since is a lack of strong pokemon which have decent super effective moves against them. Dark type didnt come in until gen II, They gave Pinsir a really weak bug move so hes useless, Thunder Shock is really weak (So is ember for Fire but Arcanine has Fire Fang so that gives 1 decent Fire type), Razor Leaf isnt much better but the really strong Grass type (Exeggutor) only has Psychic options for quick move. Hopefully later in the game there will be either more possible movesets available or be able to use TM's to give pokemon different moves

What is your age and where are you from? (state / country is fine)
    22, UK

How often do you play Pokémon Go?
Mostly daily, sporadically throughout the day

What got you into playing Pokémon Go?
An interest in Pokemon along with all the hype - people were saying it was great and I wanted to be involved.

What are your favorite things about the game?
Finding, hatching or evolving pokemon I didn't have before. Basically I like filling out the pokedex. I also like the feeling of having something to work on casually.

What are your least favorite things about the game?
It's pretty irritating when Pokemon 'attack' and so your ball bounces off, but I get the purpose of it. I also don't like it when poor connectivity in some areas means I can't load a certain pokestop/pokemon, but I guess that's not really the game's fault. Uhh, that's about it I think. Nothing major.

How do you see the game evolving?
The obvious answer is releasing Pokemon from later gens, and honestly this is all that's needed to keep me happy - more stuff to collect means I'll be hooked for longer. As long as they keep a decent gap between each release (six months or so?) so that it doesn't get overwhelming I'm sure it'll be fine. Otherwise, I'm looking forward to the hopefully imminent release of trading, which I hope will be online rather than rely on phones being close in physical space, to facilitate acquisition of 'region-locked' pokemon as well as pokemon that are prevalent in some regions but rare in others. More interactivity with Pokemon would be appreciated - something like Pokemon amie where you can 'bond' with pokemon seems like an obvious choice. The release of the legendaries is probably something that's going to happen, and I welcome it, but I hope it isn't restricted to a single event in a single part of the world. Finally, it would be pretty neat if we could breed pokemon.
