I couldn't find this on the wiki, but, how does the game decide where the Pokemon was caught?

Is it based on the highest map in the stack or is it just based on the highest map in the stack that displays its name?

For example if I had a cave in a forest and the map is listed under the map for a forest, which would it show as the location caught?

If something was caught in Geode Cave where would it say it was caught?

I believe it would say Geode Cave, but I'm not actually sure. But this seems like an answer you could get by playtesting - just go to Geode Cave in your demo and catch something (note that when in debug mode, holding down CTRL while throwing a Pokeball will make it a guaranteed catch), then look at the trainer memo.
