Question: How dose refereles help you

It's just a statistic for when people register and they say that you (or anyone) referred them to the site. It's nothing.​
 
I don't know the answer to that. But most forums do have it. It's really nothing to worry about/look at/et cetera.​
 
As of now, it's just another useless number. It's no more important than say... your reputation score.

Sure, you can aim to get as many referrals as possible, but don't expect any specific reward.
 
It's built into the vB software. Some forums might use it for something (such as rewards, or maybe a promotion, or whatever). But on PC, it's just another pointless number in your profile. I guess it's nice to say "I got this many people to join PC" but at the end of the day it's meaningless.
