Say for instance Pokemon released a game on the playstation or xbox.

It would be Ash as the protagonist of course, and it would be all of his journeys in one game, EG: Johto Kanto Sinoh Hoenn Orange Islands Battle Frontier...

And of course Misty, Dawn, Brock etc would all join and leave at the usual intervals in the game!

I think people have wanted Pokémon in 3D a very... very long time.. :P May just have to face it, it's never gonna happen. lol Nintendo are way too lazy!

I'm assuming the normal battle mechanics would be used. It sounds good, although I tend to prefer my RPGs on portable consoles. If it's going to be on a home console, it would have to be the Wii (or its sequel :P).

I think that nintendo dont make 3D pokemon games because it just doent have emough room for it, just think about it a pokemon game has to have, around 550 pokemon (talking gen 5), around 200-300 moves, NPC's, animations, maps, cut scenes and a hell of a lot more.

also, nintendo will NEVER sell pokemon to microsoft/sony, its like microsoft selling Halo or sony selling Rachet & Clank.

I think it would be fun, to have a game span all the regions and lands in one big game(For handheld or not) Just in general have one huge pokemon game where you go through all the way through the regions,(started in Kanto -Gen 5 area), Where you go and get 8 badges and beat the elite 4 in each land, Although it would take some serious tweaking to the levels system and such.

    It'd be cool.

    PROVIDED IT'S NOT ANIME BASED!!!

I'd just want it based on the games, but, like, a sequel to them all, i.e. After-plots of Galactic,Magma,Aqua and Rocket.

Hey guys - check out Ekaiyo on Google you may be presently surprised!

Plus it would NEVER be released on Playstation or XBox....only Wii

Also - an MMORPG would be way more fun - not following in the footsteps of a story we already know - but to create your own journy - battle and train with other trainers who have their own stories, with patched content, new items, new quests, new regions and amazingly fun gameplay....

Although I'm between the choice of real time combat.....or the familar RPG style turn based combat...

Both have their appeals...but for an online game - only turned based would be fun :)

I quite like the MMORPG idea where you can create your own character and your own story. However I much prefer real-time combat to turn-based combat.

Not quite... It should be a sandbox game. I like RPing and if I'm already established as Ash in a linear story mode, there's nothing for me. The Pokemon world is vast, let's not limit ourselves to one 10–15 year old.

I admire the idea of playing the game on the wii but for a game so vast I don't think the wii would be capable, and the idea of creating your own journey and charcter is also a great idea. Nintendo should read this lol.. Although, I bet somewere along the line Nintendo themselves have had this idea and decided not too pursue it. It would be great though.

    All four regions = good.
Being stuck with that loser Ash = horrible. Throw in personalized, customizable characters and we might have something.

Besides, it would need to be on a Nintendo system... They wouldn't sell the franchise to Sony or Microsoft or any rival, past, present, or future.

And an MMO? C'mon guys, think of the addiction factor! Pokemon's distracting as it is. Make it an MMO and I'll flunk out of college and be playing it more than I'd be on PC, lol

    ASH Isn't a LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!

mixing the anime canon and the game canon = instant failure

Although an all-inclusive MMORPG with customizable trainers, etc. that spans all regions would be fairly epic. :D

Not a good idea. I wouldn't put the anime stuff into the game stuff. xD That would make, like, not want to buy the game. xD Ugh, damn.

    OH, THAT ACTUALLY WORKS.

An all-region game would ONLY work on a PlayStation or something without connectivity to any normal Nintendo devices.

Because to make a proper game with more than 2 regions would need you to increase the level cap, or risk making the game stupidly easy (ie. level 30 Elite Four)

    But not Ash.

    No, not Ash.

Quoting the anime, "Ash is a loser".

What would be awesome is if it were one of those "Avatar" games where my Xbox Oompa Loompa or Master Chief is roaming the lands while chucking Poke'balls. Maybe have my Xbox pet pug dog follow. Or the Dog in a bag.

What would be awesome is Avatar items like a Pokeball to bounce in my hand or a Jigglypuff to scribble crap on me with a marker pen.

Not awesome would be the headset. If I think gta 4 has a colorful headset community, the Pokemon Live or Pokemon PSN would be creepy. What with Pokemon cards and what not. Then there are those of us who go "Squirtle! Squirt! Squirt! SQUIRRRTLE!!!!1!"
    "Piii!!! Pikaaa!! Pikachu?"

So I guess people wouldn't mind this game being released only it would have to be different to the anime and Ash wouldn't be the protagonist.

It would be a pretty neat idea IMO... as for it being in 3D as being a problem, hey, if Nintendo could make Pokemon Coliseum and XD, as well as Battle Frontier, I can't see why they wouldn't put in an original Pokemon game for a console with all 500-something monsters and all.
