It took me a week because I like to grind a lot.
 
It took me 25 hours to get my starter, grind, then beat Red.

There's an extra 6 hours on there catching Pokemon, most of it is made by legendaries.
 
For me it was about 40-45. I got the game in the summer vacation, so I had a lot of time to play it!
 
when i first played it took me about a day in-game to complete
 
It took me about 9 hours to finnesh after that I just started filling up my pokedex without cheats....my current pokedex is 383.
 
To be honest, it took me about 20 hours to finish the game because I got sidetracked alot, liked to overtrain my Pokopmon etc.
 
It took aroun 93 hours to fully finish the game with completed pokedex.

My fastest was 13 hours.
My first was about 30 hours.
My longest was 40 hours. xD
 
Dudeee, Diamond was the hardest game for me yet! My first time through it took me over 70 hours to complete! Most of it was because I was sooo lost throughout the game (very first nintendo DS game, and I didnt even have a guide. crap) Even to this day I cannot complete either Diamond or Platinum in under 50 hours. I tend to train a lot because I learned my lesson from Diamond the hard way. I wasnt expecting Cynthia to be that strong.

a long time. i would play other games as well so about a month.
 
First time through Pearl I ONLY used:

Turtwig > Torterra (Seed Bomb, Earthquake, Crunch, Leech Seed; ITEM: Big Root)
Starly > Staraptor (Brave Bird, Roost, Close Combat, U-Turn; ITEM: King Rock)
Buizel > Floatzel (Ice Beam, Waterfall, Crunch, Aqua Jet)
Kricketot > Kricketune (Brick Break, X-Scissor, Swords Dance, Cut)
Gible > Gabite (Dig, Dragon Claw, Sand-Attack, Hidden Power Fire)

Gible was female and poor natured so left it a Gabite.

TIME: just under ten hours in a speed run. avoided trainers where and when I could.
 
15:20.

When I get to the Battle Area it's finished for me.
 
Can't remember exactly, it was under 20 hours though, in platinum I took my time and it was around 30 hours.
 
I'm still playing.. I always go through phases where I'll pick up my DS and play for days and then I will forget about it for a bit, and not go back to it for weeks, or months, ugh.
