How many computers do you have?

1...2...3...4...5...6...6 computers 2 laptops, 1 virused(dad doesnt wanna delete it cuz of SAS), and 2 newer 1s

i own 3. 2 4 my dad and 1 4 me. though im able 2 use them if my computer is virused or when i want 2 (his computers are faster then mine).

I'm the only one who gave really neat stories with hers, c'mon share… X3
A funny incident, a heart warming moment? Or perhaps I'm just a weirdo who happens to be bonded to the computer too much. XP At least this is the first computer I don't get scared it won't work. o_o;

We should have three, but instead of giving me the really old computer, my parents gave it to my old babysitter who used to watch me afterschool everyday when we lived in Halifax. <_<; So we have two.

The one I normally use just... broke last night. I'm completely useless (at the moment) when it comes to computers, so I couldn't say exactly what happened, but it won't read the hard drive at all... so chances are fairly high it'll have to be wiped or we'll have to buy a new disk. =\ That one has run Windows ME for a long time and it really sucks, even though we refer to it as the "new" computer - it isn't new, it's just newer than the other one. My dad said last night that it has 30 gigs of space, but I know for a fact it can only have 20 gigs max. <_<; If not, I want my 10 gigs back. (And even then, I want all my files back more! ><) It also has very little... RAM do you call it? So it crashes constantly since I always have way too many programs open... and it can't handle very many. =\ I dunno anything about the... processor it has. <_< I really miss it right now, since my dad can't fix it as he left for a fishing trip this morning. ;_; So right now I'm stuck with...

The old computer. This thing has like... 7 gigs of space or something. o_O And at least 5-6 gigs of that is filled up with programs from my youth... like the Magic School Bus games. <3 Bah... even though it's much older, it's actually better - the only reason I don't use it is because the desk it's on makes it a little uncomfortable to use (along with the fact that we have to use this stool to sit on x_X) and because (until recently, I suppose) all my files were on the other computer. This one runs Windows 2000 Professional and only needs to be restarted... every few weeks? And even then, that's only because it needs to be turned off because of fluctuating power surges due to storms and for when we install new software and it tells us to restart, so I dunno if that counts. o_O; It's pretty fast and I also think it has more memory than the other computer since my dad installed quite a bit last year whereas the new memory wouldn't work on the newer computer. Again, I don't really know much else about this. =\

Was that long enough for you, Abby? =o

See, this is why Erica is to be revered. =x *hugs*
Hey, you have more space on even the bad one than I do my really old one, I think it has 4 gigs or something. XP
Sounds like you should have had your files on that one and moved it somewhere easier to use. o_o; the restarting would have driven me mad. x_x

I think the reason this one is in such an annoying location is because they both share the same internet. I know hooking them both up to the same connection can be done regardless of where they are in the house, but it's probably just easier if they're side by side. So of course, the newer computer gets the good desk which has a spot for the scanner, printer, and a sliding thing for the keyboard, but this older desk is really small, the monitor is low, the mouse is too high, and the keyboard is subsequently too low as well. =\ And sometimes when I know I won't be using the mouse much, I'll just take the keyboard onto my lap and lean back in the chair to type since it's so comfy that way, but it's really hard on this computer. >_<;; It's very uncomfortable.

But yeah... =\ If the other one is wiped, I'll start using this one more... unless the other gets a better decent OS.

I'm not sure I'd like to count how many computers we have in our house. My dad's a computer engineer, so every member of my family gets at least one computer, and he has a ton of spare ones lying around the house:D

I feel so lonely with my one computer :( I have one, which is the family's so I have to share it... and there's not upstairs or anything since I live in a bungalow. My Dad has a Laptop, but that's at work all the time, so it's not really at home. I'm afraid to go into all of your houses with all the computery things. I'm scared of you all now!

I only have one but there are 2 here because my sister has one as well.

Two- my one in my bedroom, the new one (which has the internet), and the piece of ancient junk downstairs (which doesn't). My dad has a laptop but we never use it :pokeball:

1. My dad's - have both 2000 and 98 in one computer
2. My mum's - ok. 2000
3. mine - totlal rubbish. It sometimes get frozen
4. old - I don't know what happened to it...
5. Family - excellent!

I have two computers too!
