We should have three, but instead of giving me the really old computer, my parents gave it to my old babysitter who used to watch me afterschool everyday when we lived in Halifax. <_<; So we have two.
The one I normally use just... broke last night. I'm completely useless (at the moment) when it comes to computers, so I couldn't say exactly what happened, but it won't read the hard drive at all... so chances are fairly high it'll have to be wiped or we'll have to buy a new disk. =\ That one has run Windows ME for a long time and it really sucks, even though we refer to it as the "new" computer - it isn't new, it's just newer than the other one. My dad said last night that it has 30 gigs of space, but I know for a fact it can only have 20 gigs max. <_<; If not, I want my 10 gigs back. (And even then, I want all my files back more! ><) It also has very little... RAM do you call it? So it crashes constantly since I always have way too many programs open... and it can't handle very many. =\ I dunno anything about the... processor it has. <_< I really miss it right now, since my dad can't fix it as he left for a fishing trip this morning. ;_; So right now I'm stuck with...
The old computer. This thing has like... 7 gigs of space or something. o_O And at least 5-6 gigs of that is filled up with programs from my youth... like the Magic School Bus games. <3 Bah... even though it's much older, it's actually better - the only reason I don't use it is because the desk it's on makes it a little uncomfortable to use (along with the fact that we have to use this stool to sit on x_X) and because (until recently, I suppose) all my files were on the other computer. This one runs Windows 2000 Professional and only needs to be restarted... every few weeks? And even then, that's only because it needs to be turned off because of fluctuating power surges due to storms and for when we install new software and it tells us to restart, so I dunno if that counts. o_O; It's pretty fast and I also think it has more memory than the other computer since my dad installed quite a bit last year whereas the new memory wouldn't work on the newer computer. Again, I don't really know much else about this. =\
Was that long enough for you, Abby? =o
