6th Gen How many New pokemon are there going to be in X and Y?

Ive heard only around 50 is this true ?

Considering they've already revealed 37 or so pokemon I would see 50 as incredibly unlikely. You think they would show off considerably more than half of the new pokemon? Not to mention all the evolutions of currently revealed pokemon and all the unrevealed legendaries, it makes 50 impossible.

I saw a rumour the other day saying there would be 124 new pokemon but I wouldn't really put much stock in these rumours. We won't know until release or if there's a mega leak like for the 5th gen.

Their will be a total of 171 new pokemon
25 will be mega Evo ( because they are considered new pokemon)
They will be 3 starters 1 legendary and 2 other pokemon for each gen.
And their will be 25 pre Evo Evo to older pokemon mostly from Kanto and Hoenn Pokedex
So their will be a total of 121 brand new new pokemon so take away the 37 we have seen thats 83 more pokemon we are getting.
The good news is out of those 83 new pokemon only 8 are legendary pokemon so take away that plus 6 for the starters we have 69 new pokemon

And yeah, I'd doubt it would be fifty. Looking at the even numbered generations, I'd say somewhere from 100-130 ish pokemon. c:

Great answer thanks and i heard from a guy from another forum he did state he wasn't 100% sure really looking forward to this game now

Your first post reads like a rumor, which would go into the Rumors Thread. There's also already an active thread speculating how many Pokemon there might be. Search around the forums to make sure that there's not already a thread discussing what you want to make a thread on.
