How many people leave thier old and useless pokemon in the PC?

Once I've already played the game I don't bother catching any pokemon besides my team and some HM slaves. There is maybe 2 - 3 pokemon in my box at all times.

My Diamond version that is used as a mass storage for all my games is another story... :D

HM slaves I keep though because thye are useful instead of teraching my offical team a HM move, becuase some are weak and usless....

I find myself always catching a butt-load of pokemon and I never use them, that's a given when you play the game. However I do catch them when I can. Whenever I see a rare one I catch it. Whenever I see one I haven't seen before I catch it. And then there are those ones you don't want but you get them anyways(Relicanth is super weak to grass but you need one for the Regi's). Nonetheless If you play pokemon you know there are going to be at least(for me anyways) 20-50 pokemon and not use them. Its just part of the game. And as your question on releasing, I absolutely agree. However you Fail to take into consideration the points in the game when you wish you would've raised Poochyena over Zigzagoon, etc., etc., . I have thought the same thing and then fail to remember the Gold/Silver epidemic where even though rock smash is useful and almost neccessary to complete the game in those versions you can only teach it to one pokemon (its a tm). I always end up teaching it to either the pokemon you get before it(sudowoodo) or some other pokemon I don't ever use later. But anyways good question and may luck be with you

i had basically the whole pokedex in my box i mean i'm not going to release a legend and i can have all of them in my team, there is what 5 + 6 + 10 + 14 = 35 legends, that is more than a whole box

I keep all the fodder, like baby Pokémon I breed and all the wild Pokémon I only caught for Pokédex purposes (all with terrible nicknames). I normally just trade them away. I really don't like releasing Pokémon for some odd reason.

Sentiment, and that Pokemon are generally treated as objects since, like, it's not a conservation management game.
In practicality however, there'll be people sceptical of trainer X having every species of Pokemon, so they may wish to have a means to prove it (after all, most trainers are youngins incapable of ignoring 'the silly people').

In Platinum, I only have Pokemon that I intend on training and actually using. Other games, I have junk boxes, but I tend to only catch stuff if I want to use it. The only exception to that is RBYFRLG since I need stuff for my Pokedex.

on pearl i only used infernape for battle and all the others were for hms but on platinum i get these impulses t catch certainpokemon at the moment gonna get a nidoran boy rain it too hundred then trde it for another pokemon i want.

i know it sounds sad but its the way i do it plus some noob who thinks there all high and mighty because they have a lvl hundred but now i think about it maybe ishould stop.....

but on a brighter note my noob friends offline get happy so it makes me feel good
