How often do you save your game?

    I find myself saving every 1-5 minutes. Usually after every 1 or two battles. Or sometimes I save twice in a row, just to make sure I actually saved right before x3

    So how about you?
     
    If I have a little green battery light, then only before and after every major battle. If it's red, I save after every single battle/wild encounter/item pickup/anything ever. @_@
     
    I only save when I'm about to quit or when something important is about to happen, or after I've battled a long route of trainers...I accidentally turned the power off once after I had finished battling a gigantic route of trainers before Fuchsia city in Fire Red, I do not want to experience something like that again. >.>
     
    I save when I'm about to take a risk, like going after a legendary. However, I have a nasty habit of forgetting to save after having a success after taking a risk, like capturing a legendary. :|
     
    I save like there's no tomorrow. Even simple things like watering berries, or even just completely out of the blue. It's just such a habit. Being able to save anywhere is a blessing compared to other RPG's. X_x
     
    I just save when I want to turn my Game Boy off!!
     
    I play with my DS plugged in usually, ever since that "wonderful" time when I played for about four hours straight just to have it go blank on me. When I hold my DS my thumb usually covers the little light, so I miss if it changes to red :(

    So nowadays I only save before something risky is coming up, or when I'm finished for the time being. Though, I do have a mildly OCD thing where, if I look up during the save process, even if I KNOW I have begun to save, if I don't actually see "[Name] has saved the game!" then I have to do it again.
     
    Usually just when I'm turning it off or if I've been playing for a while. I tend to save more often in Emerald though, idk why, maybe because it's faster in it.
     
    I save:

    Before major battles with legendaries/bosses/Gym Leaders/Elites.
    Constantly during the breeding/hatching process.
    Before beginning EV training and when I finish EV training a specific stat.
    During long routes.
    After catching rare/shiny Pokemon.
    Before embarking on catching sprees.
    When I need to turn off the DS for any reason.
     
    Lol you dont need to save after 1 or 2 battles i save about once every half hour and i have never forgot to save
    The only exception is legendarys or gym leaders
     
    I save every time I remember to. And before and after I do anything important, as well. And I'm the same as Broadway too, I need to see "X has saved the game!" before I can move on. It's annoying on DPPt, when the "Saving a lot of data..." comes up, because then I usually do something else in that time, then when I look back I haven't seen "X has saved the game!", so I have to do it again....
     
    I save about every 10 minutes or every time one of my Pokemon level up. I had a traumatic experience when I was little, now I'm afraid of my game shutting off without being saved. :P
     
    I usually save every 10-15 minutes or so and I save twice just to be sure.
    Otherwise I save right after healing at the Pokemon Centre
     
    Quite often.

    Especially after my annoying experience a few weeks ago. I was going to the Seabreak Path or whatever it is called to hatch an egg, and right before I went there, I forgot that stupid cave place is really foggy, so I just deposited my Staraptor with Defog.

    I absolutely hate that fog. I always get haxx0rz3d by it. Even worse was, I entered a battle (accidentally). I had 3 eggs, 2 n00b-pokemon and my Palkia. My 2 n00boes were knocked out instantly, leaving me with my Lv.73/72 Palkia. Earth Power. No, fog haxxed. Surf. Knocked out the two opponents. 2 more pokemon, that completely owned Palkia due to MORE fog hax. I could maybe have won, but I didn't have the patience to try to. So I just turned the game off and then on again. When I realized I hadn't saved in like, one and a half hour, I didn't play Pokemon for days.
     
    Do any of you try to save in cool looking spots...i guess? x3

    Because for me, I never just save on the spot. Maybe I will go beside a trainer, or in the middle of the pokecenter, or right after an important event. I hate seeing myself in the open field. Thats just me tho ;P
     
    I tend to save twice in a row as well, to make sure it actually saved. |D

    And usually like there is no tomorrow when I've encountered and caught a Shiny. XD
