How old is James anyway?

Something I've been wondering for a while. Is it ever mentioned how old James/Kojiro is in the anime? I had a trading card a long time ago that said he was 12, but I know that can't right. I've heard some say he's about 17, is that right?

Brock is the oldest of Ash's friends, and even when he stands next to James, he's rather small/young. And he's (still) a teenager. I think.
James and Jesse are probably about 25 or 27, yeah... since they're not as old as Giovanni, but not nearly as young as the protagonists.

ash started his jouney at 10... , each tourny he is in is yearly plus extra stuff so he is like 14-15 SSK

So, I guess James'd be slightly older than 25 if he's aged too over the seasons. So 27 would be about accurate.

umm i think brock grew a little and how does ash age 4-5 years while some of you say james has aged 2 years?

Well, they are characters, many characters never age.
Soo... between seasons, they might not age at all. For all we know, Brock could have aged a year for each season, and James could have only aged once.

good opion but it works for pokemon seeing as series strated off on his birthday and the region tournament happens yearly which means he would have aged around 4-5 years unless god doesn't want him to age (or the writers :P)
