Hi I am wondering if there is a proper block button on this site? I have added the user to my ignore list and he can still message me regardless.

I have always had my visitor messages on friends only but I don't like doing that because people can't always leave me a message if they need to and they end up having to add me or pm me. Every time I change my settings back so that people can post he begins to bother me again.

He seriously stalks me on this site and other sites and will not leave me alone even though he has been told countless times by me and moderators of other sites.

Please let me know if anything can be done about it. If not I will have to take the matter into my own hands whether it be legally or other wise because I am really getting tired of this.

If he's harassing you, you can report it and the issue will be taken care of by staff. Otherwise, the ignore option is all there is, I believe.

Personally, I think our ignore system needs a revamp if you can still receive messages from this guy. But reporting it would be the best option, and not replying so that you don't get in trouble if your temper gets the better of you.

If I were you I would just stop replying to whoever it is and if they continue to message you or send you abusive messages, alert staff. If they're not being abusive and you continually reply to them, it becomes hard to make a case as you are constantly opening up the lines of communication so he's not stalking you as much as he is simply replying to your messages. However, if you choose not to reply and he continues, then a case can be made and the appropriate action will be taken. :B

He's stalking me in the sense that he does the same on other sites and he is always checking what I post and conversations I have with people. He even tends to report some of my posts from time to time. How do I know this? I've seen some mods telling him that there are nothing wrong with my posts.

Many people do not like this guy and he has been banned before because of things with other people but he just makes a new account.

A report won't harm you unless you're breaking the rules, and in that case reports from anyone are encouraged. There's honestly nothing against the rules about looking at your posts and conversations, tbh when you posted this thread I did as well. It's all public. If that's all he does when you don't actively talk to him then there's no harm in it and I wouldn't worry about it, you'll just cause yourself stress that you don't need.

Also, if he's ban evading you can report him for it and the staff can check the IPs and he can be dealt with. Just not being liked isn't a valid reason for banning, though. :P

The problem has now been dealt with. If you receive any more trouble from this user, please send me a direct PM rather than report it with the includes and details of the problem. Make sure you do as donavannj has pointed out and edit your profile privacy accordingly or your possible PM will likely be ignored and I'll consider the error on your part means of trying to get him into trouble since you now know why the fact you ignored him didn't stop him from contacting you.

    Thank you.
